It almost seems like the drop rate decreases for the last three weapons. I've never had to do more than about 8 FATEs to get a medal, and now have done nearly 20 without getting one. I know it's just bad luck and I'm not going to start another RNG debate. But after getting the first 10 weapons, going more than a few FATEs without getting a drop is very discouraging.

I have about 623 FATEs under my belt as of right now, and a good benefit I have also got from this is cross skills, and more cross skills as I have so many classes 20+ now

Wish me luck on the remainder of this grind from hell! And for those still deep in it, I wish you luck as well. Let's do it!

This happened to me too. I did like 21-22 fates before finally seeing a medal. Took a total of 79 fates just to get 11 medals for my third weapons. Sigh... this is going to take a loooong time. ;-;

Has anyone actually got all 13 weapons?

How long did it take?

I'm only just starting now as a new player - highest level is 29.

I have half the pets, but I'm wondering is it possible to get all 13 if i grind it?

Otherwise I'll start going for the ones I like most.

Some have, yes. It's perfectly doable, but you're looking at anywhere from 800 to 1,000 fates on average if you plan to collect them all. Being that you're new, I can't say this is a good way to experience the game. All up to you though.

The accepted drop rate is around 30%. A grand total of 222 legendary medals is needed to complete this crazy show, so that comes out to about 733 fates. Some have completed it in less, some have taken more. It just depends on how kind RNGesus is to you. 79 FATEs to get 11 medals is definitely bad luck. But keep pushing! We can do it!

Hey dudes, I just found out this thing. I've been following that spreadsheet from reddit as a reference to get medals, I've been stuck on hovernyan for a week now, 1-2 hours a day at aleport because that spreadsheet says it's the best spot. And I had only 8.

I just ported to drybone, and got 7 within half a hour.

I think the best spots for drops differ between players, so if you are not having any luck, try a different zone.

EDIT: Just got 15 medals in 2 hours on the next weapon. Probably would have been faster if Central Thanalan's fates didn't spawn so slowly.
