All I'd suggest is look no further than the lore of the area we'll be going to. Between Ala Mhigo being a former tech-based military city-state (at least from what lore I've seen) along with the current technical military empire we'd be at the doorstep of (Garlemald), my guess is that we'll get something tech-based and probably something associated with a military force.

Or maybe, just maybe, that's how Red Mage would work.....
