So all of us queens are just embarrassing y'all and should piss off, right?
Gender essentialism is bullshit on all 7 continents, in every timezone, and in every language.

I was actually going to make a similar post to this, saying "you're pretty much arguing with a wall at this point," since OP has not once responded to anyone showing their disappointment with him. Hence why I feel this thread is less about what he said and now more about gear designs.
Actually, if we can agree to be civil about it, and actively listen to one another with patience, I think a forum where we have such a broad diversity is the perfect place to have such a discussion. It is through the fires and challenges of debate that the most true position can be ascertained. It is through similar fires that my own views have been refined, which is why I state them so confidently. I welcome any logical challenge, assuming that same civility. It doesn't offend me - it's just amusing that you - and a few other posters - seem to believe that it's the only political viewpoint that matters in regards to something incredibly complicated and far reaching. As I said, this really isn't the place for such complicated and heavy topics when there's posters from all sorts of different countries and cultures frequenting this board. Thus it makes more sense to simply agree to disagree or hold your tongue.
I'm not a fan of your dismissalism, though, and how you seem to want to quiet anyone who would bear a different opinion than you on such things. If you'd rather not discuss it, you're welcome to step away, but seeking to stop discussion helps no one.

True or False: You have described yourself as a "straight-acting-gay."Well, for starts it tends to be only a specific subgroup of those minorities that get represented - often, ironically, the stereotypical versions. I hold the firm belief that the best representation of a minority is a character that just happens to be gay, bisexual or whatever instead of it being made into a huge deal or made overly obvious by the way that they act, dress or speak. I suppose we can pretend as though Hollywood and mainstream studios don't deliberately seek to appease minorities to score points though if you'd prefer that.

Um, of course it's a sore spot. Are you dense? As if it's not bad enough that straight people give us shit, all the masc4masc gay/bi guys also give us shit. They still expect us to all come together when straight people are mean to them though.
"Hello, I'm auditioning for the role of Ser Aymeric de Borel, and I'll be singing Electric Chapel by Lady Gaga"
I'm not sure what you're getting at. Why are you assuming that I'm into the whole 'masc4masc' thing? It's not really relevant to the topic at hand.
I feel he's talking about how shows often portray homosexual characters as extremely effeminate and/or extremely masculine (often in leather and/or bear flavour and sometime's very 'assertive'). There was rarely a character who made you go "oh, he was gay?" like in ParaNorman.
Should probably take a breather if you're going to get emotional and amp up the defensive/snippy comments. It's not helping your case, and I've seen people get banned for less. Unless that's your goal.
Because of all your previous comments. The fact that you consider any flamboyant gay man to be a stereotype (with the implication that we're bad). And that this is either the third or fourth thread I've seen you on complaining about how FFXIV's men aren't manly enough.
And it does have bearing on the topic at hand, because to identify a piece of gear as manly/masculine, you have to define manly/masculine, which for you apparently doesn't include men you find to be too flamboyantly gay. Again, you fired the first shots, don't get so defensive. Just say it, you don't like us.
