Achievement Unlocked: LOLGOON
World of Darkness.
At the very first pull, everyone is just focusing on the dragon. Everyone ignores the adds.
Adds come and kill the healers in each group. Then, the DPS begin going down. Even though DPS are being attacked, they just ignore the adds and keep attacking the dragon. And because all the healers are dead (myself included) no one can heal the DPS.
About 15 people died at the very first pull.
Next is the eye boss. We almost wiped.
Half of each team completely ignored Mortal Gaze and got doomed and they didn't dispell it. Instantly half the raid is dead.
Thankfully, the healers all ignored mortal gaze and revived all the dead people.
Who then died to the next Mortal Gaze. Revive again.
And people were dying to the adds and all kinds of mechanics.
Thankfully, the healers on each team were reviving everyone pretty well. But at the end of the fight 3/4 of the raid was dead.
The other fights went all right but still a few deaths here and there.
I've never raised so many people in a single instance before.
Left with 5 comms.
On the other hand, not a single person died during my Weeping City run...
I have stopped expecting commendations when I do a good damn job as a healer in a 24man. Things happen. Lots of people die, I time healer LB3 excellently for every boss after Forgall (yes, every single boss but the first needed a healer LB3), and I get one commendation. Like I know I should never expect commendations for any reason but I know if I did so poorly that a healer had to do extra work to make sure we didn't completely wipe, they would 100% get my commendation.
Ehm..are you not aware that you can leave the instance without penalty as soon as someone else left?
Also, as soon as everyone has left the instance, it will vanish by itsself. So no need to wait around until you can leave with vote abandon
(If you keep recruitments open, it's actually more annoying to other players because those who check in-progress for their duties get thrown into an instance with only 1 person that has no chance of turning into a clear)
Well, I keep recruitments off and wait for closed with Vote Abandon. If I only leave instance and still open, people can enter, no?Ehm..are you not aware that you can leave the instance without penalty as soon as someone else left?

I remember the Alpha days when even breathing lagged you
Get Dusk Vigil on my monk get a Sch, Blm, and a....Gladiator? Wait whaaaat why are you a Gld? People are leaving like there's no tomorrow coming in saying "...." or "omfg you troll or are you a noob? Do your lvl 30 job quest!". We ACTUALLY get a group who's willing to do this and we manage to get to first boss after me having to stay in Fists of Earth 100% of the time because the Gld has no tank stance he dies sooo fast on trash. Get to the Mammoth, he pulls, I wait a good solid 30 seconds before even think of DPSing the BRD (Blm left super fast) gets picked and the tank stands in front and gets DESTROYED by the Tusk Butt. Poor healer is healing as fast as they can but no the tank is just dying super fast since he's in mostly ilvl 100 pieces, 1 90 ring and some ironworks stuff. We managed to beat the first boss but holy did people ever vote abandon so fast after that was a shame too I wish more people would pay attention to their job quests and the game tells you at lvl 30 as well...oh well was a good 40 minute run to first boss T_T.
I see we've descended to personal attacks, nice. Someone suggested I look at the post history, and I did; I did not find anything that suggested I was wrong, nor has anyone given me reason to think so, and that's as far as it goes. If we're now resorting to ad hominem instead of actual replies, then nothing else really needs to be said.
On a slightly more positive (?) note, I had a lovely Qarn run the other day that restored a bit of my faith in DF as a whole - I joined in progress as BLM to find a lone German tank, and we were soon joined by a BRD. We decided to move forward with mobs while waiting for a healer (me throwing in my sad Physiks where necessary), and the reason the others left quickly became apparent when said tank struggled to hold enmity on even one monster, let alone a mob. Noticing he was new, we tried to give him some auto-translated tips on how to play PLD; it turns out he not only spoke English, but was really happy to get some advice on the job, which he started practicing right away. Though the BRD (who was 50 something, I think) still took aggro occasionally, they were a great sport about it and on the whole the tank played much better. We made it to the end after a healer joined and he thanked us for the help and the enjoyable run, which we heartily returned.
Seeing vets actually stick around to offer helpful advice and support, and then watching the tank steadily improve and become more confident through it, really made my day.
Did Weeping City and had a tank that was new. He mentioned this at the very beginning, but had seen several videos. We wiped during Ozma because he didn't place a meteor. The bard (a mentor) proceeds to insult the tank, keeps repeating that he's useless, and should have let us know that he was new (he did). We explain the mechanics and try again. I guess the tank may have had trouble with the adds during the Black Hole phase because they're going after everyone, and both me and my co-healer are dead (this may have been before we explained the mechanics, I can't remember). We wipe. The bard then says that she won't sing for the healers, so I say I won't heal her (I knew that that was impossible as most of the healing I do is aoe, but whatever). She then runs off the edge and stays dead the entire fight. We try again and it actually goes a lot better without her, but we end up dying due to a bad combination of bleeding, extra adds, orbs, and meteors. Sadly, we wipe again. We finally kick the bard and another dps that went offline. We get two new dps and try again, and it goes really well.
Next, Calisofiresomthing. Everything's fine at first, but towards the end, nearly everyone gets hit by the haircut. I don't know if someone turned her or what, but I wasn't able to remove my debuff in time, so I'm dead and my co-healer (who also got hit) dies. Another alliance has also lost both healers. From our alliance, only the tank and another dps are alive and Calsiisomething is at 5% health, but they manage to do it in the end.
Not exactly my greatest performance. I think I could have done better. >_< I just hope that the tank wasn't too discouraged. I felt really bad for him... He honestly wasn't a bad tank at all - mistakes do happen. He certainly wasn't the worst tank I've seen there and was actually pretty good for his first time.

Leveling roulette brings me to Duck Vigil, with a tank with an i55 weapon, a healer who just. Will. Not. Stop. Spamming. Physick. All. The. Freaking. Time. Even when no one is hurt, and a BLM who uses only fire 3 and blizzard 3. No one responded when I tried to talk, so I left after the first boss.
Edit: no wait, the BLM did talk once - to complain about how slowly it was going...
