I posted this a couple days ago, this is mainly for helping PS4 with the 20512 network issue.

The biggest issue from doing trace routes is that certain ISP are having issues connecting to the Level 3 IP that Square is using, there is a rediculous amount of dropped connections between jumps, so this is up to you(Square Enix) to contact your host and clear up these dropped jump connections.

With that said, the fix is to get around this using a provider that doesn't take certain routes or has accesses to different routes incase of a failed connection in the jump. I would be speaking of your Cell phone provider.

Using your phone to tether to your PS4 or PC only long enough to pass the point of failure, in my case, it was 1040MB of a 13,756MB patch point every time. Once you figure out roughly where it will stall, you need to kill the client, for PS4, hold the PS button and close the game 50-100 MB before the failure point, switch to your WIFI tether point and it will resume from the last point, once you get 100-200MB beyond that point, kill the client again and reconnect to your original ISP, the file will patch very shortly after the point of failure.

If you don't have the ability to tether from a phone, you can purchase a Mobile Hotspot from a local retail for generally $20 or so with an introductory 5-10GB of data to get this through.

Step 1: Figure out the point of failure in MB
Step 2: PS4: Hold the PS button roughly 100MB before that point | PC: CTRL-ALT-DEL and kill the client roughly 100MB before the point of failure
Step 3: Switch to the Tether or mobile Hotspot (Sprint/Verizon/AT&T/ T-Mobile etc.)
Step 4: Resume the download beyond the original point of failure in excess of 100-200MB
Step 5: Kill the client again as you did in Step 2
Step 6: Switch back to your LAN or original ISP
Step 7: Resume the download until complete

You may or may not have this issue happen again during the download, but after each point that it patches the download you successfully recieved, it will pick up from that spot. I was able to get the remaining 13GB after that initial failure.

Thank you Nao, i am not sure i understood your method, lol but looked promising.
Because it was longer then 14 days i was out of the game i was locked out of the forum... I was pissed to say the least.
Anyhow finally was able to patch the download probably just by luck.
I am dreading the re-install though when i get PS4 Pro in November

Sorry, I tried to make it as simple as I could, all you are doing is closing the game shortly before the failure so you don't eat up mobile data, downloading just past the update and switching back to your normal internet. I repeated this 5 times and only once did I get the error over tether and wasn't able to patch, but I think it was because I killed it too late, 1049 MB was my actual point of failure and I killed it at 1040, I had been killing it at 940MB and downloading past the 1040MB mark, into about 1100 MB, then switching back. Out of 5 attempts I was able to get past the each time using a tether, and varified that it would fail over LAN first. I hope by the time the Pro is out, this is resolved, this is all Square's bandwidth provider issue, they are going to have to be the one's to deal with it.

Where it actually fails is going to be different for everyone, because the jumps that are failing in connection will be at a different point in the patch based on your location or who your ISP actually jumps to, these patches are strangly not coming from one source, that's why you see the connection completely drop and the reconnects to download another part, for me, it's a server located in california and it was to jump through Minnesota and Washington, where the others hit Texas and it patch fine there. In contrast my phone makes 2 different jumps, one to Missouri and then Navada, finally to California (Source). But that's all irrelevant unless you were literally my neighbor with the same ISP.

Thank you very much for the clarification, i really do think i just finally got lucky as i had lost a month and tried well over 60 times to download, and it does not seem like big enough of an issue for them to look into i guess...
Loosing subs is nothing i guess, lol
