Halatali normal. Got stuck with a blizzard wizard. I told them "You should be using fire until you run out of MP and then transpose to gain it back to use fire some more". They were so grateful I showed them the error of their ways and they thanked me profusely. Except that's not what really happened. What really happened was I was told "Stfu don't tell me how to play my class and I won't tell you how to play yours". They then spent the entire run berating me because I was in cleric instead of healing even though Selene was keeping everyone alive just fine. This is the reason why 99% of the time I don't bother saying anything if I see something off about how someone is playing :/

Not really. But "fun and memorable" is subjective. I've had Sohr Khai and Brayflox HM runs, recently, that lasted less than 15 minutes each. That's fun for me, watching everything die so easily and quickly. Other "people" find it fun when they mess up runs on purpose, just so their party members suffer as much as possible. Most runs are average, and consequently, unmemorable. The bad times tend to stick out more than the good times in my head.

But all the same, even as I post about all the horrid runs I've had, there are runs that were so bad, so irredeemably awful, that I will never so much as mention them, because I just don't want to remember them at all. So I've had good runs, and runs that were even worse that I'm not writing about.

I just had a weird moment in Copperbell mines where the tank, a WAR who rarely used overpower watching cutscene at the last boss' fight around the aetherial line and had his HP zapped to 0 the moment his viewing cutscene ended.. I dunno how that could even happen.. Moments later, i met the same player at coerthas central on my way to mine darksteel ore. That player went straight to the Black sheep fate (lv30s), i felt kinda suspicious toward that player due to the bizzare occurence, so I stalked that player thinking he might be a bot, but no.. Once his hp reached half and dealt about 50% to the sheep, dude stepped out of the FATE and queued for another duty.

Not much to note of this recent Lost City of Amdapor run other than apparently a dps dropped because of mold phobia. I'm not really mad or anything, and I'm posting this because I suddenly started wondering what kinds of dungeons we have currently that can be problems for specific phobic people. The only other dungeon I remember is Antitower because someone made a thread awhile back talking about his/her doll phobia.

Not just dungeons, but trials too. I remember someone had a story about a SMN who had cetaphobia, which meant that when it came time for them to fight Bismarck, they just stood there while everyone else was fighting.

I've also often thought that Leviathan could cause problems for people who are extremely prone to motion sickness, though I haven't run into that problem with him, myself.

I'm scared of Amdapor Keep HM :O This dungeon is so creepy and the music is so creepy and the room with the demon walls moving towards you and crush you unless you meet the DPS check is so creepy and I'm still traumatized by my first run there as a healer, when my derpyness wiped my party three times on the first boss ._.

Which leads to the second part of my "Toughening Up" quest on warrior!

Keeper of the Lake: Got a scholar firsttimer, yet I pulled everything after the first group, means two trash groups and the Son of the Keeper. The wipe that followed was not because I overstrained the healer, they just didn't heal me for whatever reason ._. I explained all the bosses, and the healer managed to die to every boss, but fortunately late enough so we could kill them without a healer, and clear without any wipes. Got told by the DPS what a bad mentor I am before they left O.O

Wanderer's Palace: OMFG WHY DO THE MOBS HAVE SO MANY AOE O___O It was annoying so I eventually felt back to my old behavior, means tiny pulls. The BLM wasn't okay with that, always ran ahead (but never pulled) and used emotes to tell me to follow him. Was good to have someone who reminded me of why I was actually doing this quest Here, the WHM also died to every boss, thus wiping us on the second and final boss. There are people who play the warrior as a one-man-army and just say "screw it" if the healer dies - I'm not that good at it Got two comms for the run while I gave mine to the BLM.

Ampador Keep: ...yeah, my personal nightmare dungeon. But the pulls were smooth, and so were the first bosses except the WHM kept getting cleaved by the first one, and as they never moved out of the cleave area, I had to turn the boss all the time, probably annoying the dragoon. Then the room with the demon walls. Oh my god I hate this room and the bard kept singing Mage's Ballad for an unknown reason, decreasing his own DPS and almost making us fail the DPS check. The walls were already hitting us when the last mob died :O We cleared without wipes and I got two more comms, but my fear of this dungeon is still there D:

I've got pretty bad Apiphobia so any of the giant bee mobs freak me out severely. The Arboretum is my personal hell due to the section with the bees. That and I have trypophobia as well so that section in the Arboretum is doubly bad for me.

A few years ago it would have been impossible for me to do T1 (or any other content with snakes in it) - I got rid of that phobia but it used to be so bad that I couldnt even see snake-drawings a five year old would have produced without freezing...

This weekend I queued as a WHM into an in progress Sohr Khai with two lonely DPS (NIN and BLM). Apparently the tank bailed when the previous healer quit, and they only got past the first pair of those cube monsters. We all agreed that it would be best to clear some trash while we wait for a tank, and it went surprisingly well. For each pack of trash, each of us would have our own thing to tank, and since the NIN would always finish his off first, he'd come and take mine off me. Then comes the first boss... The NIN said they had tried it before with no tank and that it was pretty messy, but since it didn't look like a tank was coming anytime soon, we dove right in. Aside from getting hit a little harder than usual, the NIN was a perfect replacement tank. The duty proceeds smoothly with the NIN tanking and the BLM killing everything like flies. The only time I didn't DPS during this run was the last boss; I wanted to make absolutely sure that no one was going to die seeing as we had gotten to the last boss with no tank and no deaths. What was both hilarious and sad was that we got the boss down faster than some light parties I've been in... talk about DPS being on point!

I also ran into Saito a while ago during a Hullbreaker HM run! (Awesome BRD btw)
