Stone Vigil normal. WAR, SCH, NIN, and me on BRD. Tank makes a slightly larger than normal first pull, catching the healer off guard and causing a near-wipe as mobs pick us off one by one. At this point the healer makes some suggestions to the tank about gearing. Tank seems to take the advice okay which is cool. We continue on and the tank has to go afk for a bit before the first boss.

Then the healer addresses me. Wait, what? What'd I do?

During the entire 10 minutes or so the healer goes on to pick apart my gear, even linking BiS Weeping City pieces that I need instead of what I've got on. I'm utterly confused and embarrassed by this. And I still am. I get it: He wants to be helpful. I didn't pay attention to icons, but maybe he got this as Mentor Roulette and wanted to do his job. He's a bard main. But this still felt like going to a dine-in restaurant and having the waiter pick apart my clothes even though I dressed-up to the extent that I could.

Honestly... I don't have a static. So raiding and ex primals are pretty much on the back-burner for me. When it comes to playing the jobs I do, I just try to learn and do enough of my job to not get yelled at. I try to gear up enough to not get yelled at. I even try to meld the proper secondaries to not get yelled at. Yet here I am, in a low level dungeon, getting my gear choice picked apart. I'm still embarrassed. I kind of just want to avoid DF now.

Or you could carry Antidote on you? 1 minute CD and is off the global cooldown (OGCD) you don't want stacks to rise up and hurt your tank especially if they're new and don't avoid stuff or get a bad knockback and a poison ticks. I know it's low lvl but having Antidotes, Spine Dropes, etc cost literally like 100 gil and 1-2 spaces on your hotbar. I always carry them on my Sch in case I do get low lvl stuff when I que with my friends through lvling roulette or specific que for anything under lvl 40 but that's just me, also you don't get regen till lvl 35 as a Whm soo..yeah there's that why would you want stacks to rise up to 3-4 making your job as a healer more stressful where you can get rid of it and DPS/heal? I don't get your logic.

Just got out of Hullbreaker Hard Mode. We all said hello to each other. No one did poorly. No one died. We all did the mechanics to a tee, and it went fairly quick.

And at the end of it all, I get three coms. I'm a black mage. My head hurts now.

Keeper of the Lake as PLD. Other party members were WHM, MNK, and SMN. This run took 50 minutes to complete.

First of all, the DPS was slower than molasses in winter. So yeah, 50 minutes.

Second of all, at the first boss, this WHM just. Kept. Spamming. Cure. Maybe an occasional Medica II and Regen thrown in. Popped Divine Seal + Shroud of Saints before I'd even pulled. I sat at full HP from the regens and they just kept spamming Cure over and over and over until I got sick of the sound effect of the spell. I'm not even joking, they ran out of MP spamming Cure and managed to die to the first boss as it reached the last 2%. I had absolutely no aggro issues at all this entire run, so any deaths that occurred were due to AoEs or random targeting attacks.

But fine, no wipes. Until Midgardsormr. Oh my god, Midgardsormr.

First try, both WHM and MNK died to Midgardsormr's ultimate blast, because they ran to the very edge of the arena, instead of staying inside the invincibility shield, for whatever asinine reason. The SMN raises them both, but this WHM just can't manage their MP. I tried my very best in spamming X-Potions to stay alive, but it's a lost cause when the SMN and WHM both go down to AoEs.

Second try, everyone except me dies to Midgardsormr's ultimate blast, because they didn't get the shield up in time, while I popped Hallowed Ground. I tried, but once again, losing battle.

Finally killed him on the third try. What the hell. There was no new person bonus, nobody said anything about not knowing the mechanics, just what possesses you to run to the edge of the battlefield when there is a very clear field of invincibility in the middle, and a massive AoE that covers the entire room?

Amdapor Keep on my WHM alt with my friends on warrior and BLM. As the warrior friend and my alt are fresh 50s and because we wanted to open all the treasure chests, we decided to do a full run, which the ninja was not very happy about. We are wasting his time, the exp the dungeons gives are shit, most of the treasure chests are shit too (he's actually right about that, but as I said, we talk about fresh 50s, we take every single exp and every single gil we can get), and if we don't stop killing everything, he's gonna report us. Just wtf. We told him that the majority of the party wants to do a full run, and if he as the only person is not okay with that, he's free to leave. He didn't leave, but seriously, sometimes I don't understand why some people are this impatient that they even want to report someone for having another playstyle than themselves.

Queue for Mentor Roulette. 40 minute wait time. >.> When it finally pops it's Shiva EX. Not excited it's a primal, but w/e. I'm on MNK. First attempt we make it to 20%. Everyone is alive, everyone is at full HP. Healers have <50% MP. MT says to LB. So I do.

Immediately, the tank goes down. I have aggro. I pop all my buffs. A solid 10 seconds pass. I go down. The healers go down. The rest of the party goes down. Why did we go down? Because the healers are FREAKING out at me "DPS are only allowed to use LB at 10%" "LB is only for healers" "Don't you dare use it again"

Are you kidding me? x.x We were FINE. And even if the MT had died anyway, one party member going down should never wipe a group. It's so easy to recover, especially in fights like Shiva EX. I popped Fists of Earth and all of my buffs (Mantra, Bloodbath, Foresight, Mantra, IR, PB, and Featherfoot), I was perfectly self sustainable for the raise, there was more than enough time to get the tank back up or for the OT to voke and the fight to carry on. But instead they started freaking out in the chat and let the whole party go down.

At least we two-shot it. But I'm still in disbelief.

This was like 7-8 months ago. But, was in the Vault with a DRK. And s/he refused to use Darkside and Unleash. We asked why. They told us it drained the MP badly. We told him about the MP/HP combo and Blood Price. It said that they didn't help with MP. And my party was taking aggro constantly. So, I'm sorry to say, kicked them for not listening and taking our advice.

THE FUCK? LB is for anyone who can use it. If it's that bad where healers need to use it that means everyone is DEAD. Who makes these rules anyway? As far as I know it's always ALWAYS been up to the DPS to use it when they can to finish out the match. What were those healers smoking?

Adding to the frustration of this run, my PC just forced me to write this out for the FOURTH time...omg stop deleting my sh*t

So, Cape Westwind trial roulette:

I was complaining about always getting Steps of Faith recently, so I was positively surprised when I ended up in Cape Westwind. I thought this was gonna be done in half a minute, and of course, in no way did I think it was possible to still wipe there in 2016 with a team of 7 experienced players. I mean, how could that ever happen?

Boy, was I wrong.

So, it took ages for the walls to go down because the newbie who was watching the cutscene was either a super slow reader or took a bunch of screenshots or whatever, in any case, I never saw that cutscene take that long and...honestly, it doesn't really matter, I know that's just how things are and that's fine but my half-a-minute prediction was already destroyed x)

So when we were finally ready to go, we quickly explained "just focus on burning down the boss, ignore everything else" and the fight began.
After a bit, the 2 adds spawned in the South and me, being the dutiful BLM that I am () threw a quick AoE Sleep their way and continued on killing the boss.

A few seconds later - the adds still firmly asleep from my lovely lullaby - the main tank suddenly ran across the entire field, dragging the boss along, killing 4 people in the process with boss' AoE or cleave (not sure which, it was all very messy), only to wake up the adds.



He then proceeded to hit them, completely ignoring the boss who gleefully slaugthered the others because aggro was everywhere but with the tank

With most of the DPS dead, of course, we got all the nasty following phases with fire puddles and giant AoEs and everything...and while those remaining fought for their lives to finish the last few percent of HP on the boss, the former MT still stood there, all alone in the South, swinging his Nidhogg EX sword weakly against those adds which barely had a scratch.

Seriously, a big thanks to the WHM who saved that run, I'm sorry I couldn't commend you, you left the instance too fast
