    Eh... simple is better...
    Heal as priority,
    DPS/dots when the parties HP and your MP is in the green(safe enough). (i mean if no ones taking much dmg and your just standing there like a bump on a log to cast the next heal in 5min....)

    ex)
    Had some instances where the healer was taking a ton of hate, i watched them and they were healing me like only when my HP was say 90%
    And then last night there was the AST that was dpsing so much, everytime they tossed me a heal my HP was at 20% >.>;;

    Aside from harder raids when you actually have to push yourself a little and fit that definite dps in,
    most dungeons give you a choice.

    But healing when you're at 20% gets the most mileage out of ED and healer damage 15k crits are beautiful

    Could people just mind their own business about the play style of other people. I mean sure, if the playstyle of another person is causing wipes (mobs aggroing everywhere, failing to meet DPS checks, etc.) then you can tell them what they need to change, but if you're mad that your run will take 30 minutes instead of 20 then you need to calm down and choose a better time to run dungeons.

    You're forgetting that there's another person on the other side of that character, and that you don't know everything about the other person. The attitude of "everyone HAS to play this certain way or they suck!" will only drive both new and existing players away because nobody wants to play a game where the community is constantly hostile to one another.

    But it's true. If a healer doesn't DPS when they are free to do so, they suck. If people who like pacifist healers don't like how the game has been designed, they would be happier elsewhere. :P

    For the record, if I see that the healer isn't doing anything during downtime and the DPS isn't stellar, I'd suggest cleric stance usage first and if I'm ignored I'd leave and do something that won't take 30 minutes when it should be far less. I don't know of anyone who is hostile toward poor players.

    I think the reason the "I won't dps healers" tend to frustrate so many people it is because they are making an active decision to not be a good party member. If someone is just simply new, or learning, or unskilled and they underperform...well what can ya do? At least they are trying, they can't control their newness or their low skill level. But to walk into a party and be bad on purpose because you don't want to add dps, or think healers shouldn't add dps or whatever - that is much more frustrating than someone who simply isn't good enough. Just not trying because you don't want to in a co-operative game is a crap mindset to have and is like sticking your middle finger up to your teammates.

    Can't upvote this enough. It's literally two buttons and a bit more clicking for a healer to start adding DPS. People who won't do that irritate me.

    DPSing as a healer can be kinda fun sometimes too yknow. Now I haven't reached max level for WHM or AST so I can't say I'm the most familiar with their tool kit, but as a Scholar it feels like if they're not DPSing when there are no needed heals or shields to be put up, then they're doing nothing. Personally I feel like there's always something we can be doing. For me I'll get all my shields up, then begin my DoT rotation. By the time I've gotten all of my DoT's out on the Mob/Boss, the tank has taken some damage and it's time to heal him up and also possibly time to get the shields up. After that's done my DoT's are almost finished on their timer's, so I can use that time to reset them.

    Then simply rinse, repeat.

    If you use your knockback ability to disrupt melee, we will kick you. Hard. This also applies to rangetards.

    Most WHM/range won't use Fluid Aura/knockback unless the target is a breath away from dying. Thats cool though. If your damage is so low that a ranged hits his knockback to try and speed things along, someone should probably kick you.

    You can't always tell which mobs can be knocked back. It takes some time with trial and error to see which do and which do not.
