Its too feminine in the sense that girl characters don't have much non feminine armor/clothing choices. I mean they put a boob or stomach window on things that are supposed to be actual armor even. And to whoever put the "I'm not a bigot, but" tags, you're being extra.
Nope. That is, indeed, the new tomestone gear. The screenie is taken from SE's official site: http://press.na.square-enix.com/prod...iv-heavensward
isn't exactly about the theme of this topic but i like very much the gear of dragoon and tank from actual experts becauseeeeee: they have cloak/cape!!!! i wanna moreee and customize color cloaks!
lllllllll
This whole thread is unnecessary. If you don't like the aesthetic of the game, do not play it. Go play all the western appealing RPGs if you're not cool with jrpg styled gameplay. We do not need to go on a debate about gender politics in this game, unless it's about the different races, and how they act. I'm honestly getting tired of the constant whining this community is spewing out. Lately every other thread seems to be about something we want, or something we hate. Some of that is warranted, but It really says something about our community. It's time to consider being more thankful for the hard work, and dedication that the team behind this game does for us. I honestly don't think it would matter what they did at this point, people would still find a reason to complain.

The hilarious thing about the "debate" that transpired, as I look through it with a bit more of a better mood, is that it not only started from a post that could have been mostly ignored (yeah yeah I admit I'm an asshole and I have a habit of projecting my bitterness towards threads like these publicly), but the core arguments arose from complete misinterpretations about what others have posted.
Like idk about you guys but just saying the words "transgender" or "cisgender" or even linking to a transgender-themed article does not automatically make posts "political," and the thing about gender politcs was only brought up when someone decided that was the point when it wasn't.
To the point, though, I agree that threads that complain about the game aren't really all that compelling and I do feel like there are many aspects to this game that are wholly enjoyable that people don't discuss for some reason. I'm glad that "what do you like about the game" thread popped up because it was a refreshing break.
I feel this thread has become more of "let's talk about future gear and how we can have it please everyone," rather than what OP, who has not posted since this thread was necro'd (I think?), said.
To be a broken record: New tome gear for Casters looks decent, but my opinion could change when I try it on my Roegadyn. Healer set... I can't really say until I try it on my Roegadyn (at the moment, not entirely a fan). I didn't like the Esoteric gear for most Mage Jobs (especially BLM, my main), save for the SCH set, which looks very nice (though the gloves were weird). Lore gear was... better than the BLM Esoteric set, but still looked bad on my character (so I instantly glamoured over it). Weeping City gear was also no better.

Good luck finding a forum community based around a popular game where there's no 'whining'. Yes, some posters do whine but that is something that goes both ways and is often a self fulfilling prophecy. Complaining about people 'whining' is often very redundant and usually just comes across as virtue signalling with the same handful of posters patting each other on the back as they attempt either intentionally or unintentionally to stifle any and all constructive debate. Ignore and/or report problematic posters and move on - or just focus on responding to the decent, thought provoking posts instead. You don't need to agree with somebody else's differing opinions - though they should not be discounted entirely.
It's also perfectly possible for somebody to enjoy many aspects of the game but be frustrated with various other aspects of it. Telling people to 'find another game' is neither constructive or polite. So long as commentary is posted within the confines of the forum's terms of service it's acceptable to be discussed.
Same boat with highlander.I feel this thread has become more of "let's talk about future gear and how we can have it please everyone," rather than what OP, who has not posted since this thread was necro'd (I think?), said.
