Yeah, i'm going out on a limb, and say that based on the OP's general post record that the original intent was not sarcasm or throwing one in SE's face. Notice that the disclaimer only appeared after the thread hit like page 15, trying to play it off as a pundit on the amount of anti-PL threads.

In addition, Azury's secondary post that was related loosely to this thread supports that it wasn't intended as a joke.

While she herself may NOT support Pl'ing, it's apparent that she presented a valid point.

The OP is a common campaigner against trolling, and a large supporter of clear and accurate feedback, thus, it was not a joke.

just to clarify things. Everything in this thread was completely intended from the start, except that i expected about 10 people to start the thread off accusing me of trolling. It was a LOT more successful than i imagined it and I'm honestly surprised because every line -does- ooze sarcasm.. Not only that but i actually link to a post where I'm arguing the -complete- opposite point....

If you really need to be sure, you can click my name and look at my past threads and posts. I raged about how instanced airship rides ruined immersion and how instant teleportation easymoded the game..... That should be a pretty obvious hint as to my real beliefs.

so for clarification: I Have never, and i will -never- support instant leveling, mass-powerleveling, or anything similar. I think FFXI had the balance right for the first 6ish years, where you had to actually invest time into getting a job to endgame.

Yeah I know about TOR. I may try it out since my husbands nephew will be playing it. I would like to see how Bioware did in regards to making an MMO. I would hope that they did present it in such a way that grinding wouldn't be felt. That you have meaningful quests that you can obtain levels as you do them, as they did in DAO.

I hope eventually FFXIV will become like that, but IDK. That is a lot of work to put into a game. All the CS, the dialogue, the actual coding for the graphics....it's a lot. Not saying FFXIV can't do it...it's just...well...I hope they will do right by this game. *has the strange feeling that this post will be deleted*

That's Massive Multiplayer Online -
It's designed so that you spend time so that you end up paying at least 3 months worth of subscription (whenever they implement that) if you want to get to level 50.

Role Playing Game -
Character progression and growth via fighting countless monsters, accomplishing tasks, and triumphing over adversity. This is a staple in all standard RPGs, tabletop, western, Japanese, you name it.

Your suggestion undermines that whole idea of what this game is.

Go play Guild Wars or something.
