LEGALIZE GAY MARRIAGE NOW!You and I both know the system that is in place at the moment well it sucks. But until SE comes out and tells us it's not what they wanted people are going to PL all day every day until they fix it end of story.
BUT you and your friends and anyone else that doesn't like the system as it is doesn't have to play it that way. Go play the game the way you all want to play the game and enjoy it.
You can't force people to play this game any other way than the way they want to so stop trying to.
... wait... this isn't... *walks away*

I grind in an RPG to get awesome abilities that would augment my fun with the combat system. I grind in order to reach the same level of strength of a certain boss because RPGs are still inherently based on stats and not skill(although the line is blurring slowly but surely). I grind because it's sometimes a prerequisite to get access to certain types of content. I grind because killing baddies with buddies is pretty fun.
I don't grind because I give three shits about hitting max level or stroking my "e-peen". If your own worth in a video game comes from having other people idolize you(and why would/should they?) as opposed to having fun along the way and being a great member of the community, then you can piss off.
If a scant amount of people are powerleveling and the only things being hurt are your fragile egos as opposed to actual game mechanics being broken(which may or may not be the case), then why should anyone care?
Guys, guys.
It's been settled.
Can we lock this thread please k thxThis is Yoshida, the producer/director.
I’m sorry that this is late, but I would like to add a few points.
Power leveling is viewed very differently from player to player, and I still stand by my stance that it should be allowed to a certain extent to bridge the gap between long-time players and newer players. This is because I see it as an act of volunteering, in which the power leveling players are willing to give up their time to help out their friends or family members.
We expected the extent of power leveling to become evident with the removal of the claim system, but we didn’t foresee the extent to which low level players can sit AFK, while in the same party with a much higher level character fighting monsters, without the level differences between the players being applied to the incoming EXP.
The calculations for gained EXP have been fundamentally changed in patch 1.19, which has made this issue more difficult to handle. We considered issuing an emergency maintenance to address this, but the release of patch 1.19a is very quickly approaching, so we have decided to fix the issue in patch 1.19a.
I’m sorry for the confusion that this has caused.
