I would keep in mind that MMOs, by necessity, tend to tone things back graphically speaking compared to the latest single player games, even at max settings. So I wouldn't expect them to go nuts with the Pro's hardware upgrades.

"Ul'dah can keep their dusty markets, and their streets paved in silver and gold.
Limsa Lominsa keep your pirates, and your ships covered in musty mold.
My loyalty lies with Gridania, with the Moogles and the tree spirits of old." -The Forky Conjurer
The good thing is that the pro will keep the game pegged at 60fps. Occasionally in some intense fights or environments you can feel the ps4 frame rate sag a little. That should be completely remedied without even needing a patch, simply because of the additional horsepower.
"Sag a little" ...mobs that form around s-rank hunts make it sag more than a little. XDThe good thing is that the pro will keep the game pegged at 60fps. They may not need to do anything for the game to look and run better on PS4 Pro, but they will be able to include more graphics options present only on PC right now as options for PS4Pro players. But, the game should run on PS4Pro unmodified with better framerates and fidelity thanks to the improvements in the hardware in the PS4Pro.
I play on PC and PS4. On PC the graphics look a lot nicer. I think there are some improvements they can make using PS4 Pro.FFXIV is one game you may not see a ton of additions for ps4 pro. It already runs at 60fps on ps4, and the graphics are already nearly equal to extreme settings on PC. You may see a slight bump to things like Shadows or draw distance if they wanted to, but its already pretty close to pc graphics as it is.

The PS4 pro doesn't do native 4k it upscales. So for FFXIV it really wouldn't make too much of a difference on the system.
