Okay, to break it down to your level: you can throw your self on the ground infront of mommy because you want thooohoooseee candy, and maybe one day it will work because mommy is so annoyed, but the other day it wont because mommy really believes you dont need to have those candies. But both days adults will avoid you and think to themself "Oh dear, that child has to learn to behave yet..."

If you admit you're "crying" here because you want something because its oh so unfair you dont have it... dont expect to be taken very serious.
Whats wrong with Leagcy-people having there special mounts? You can get a chocobo and a gobbue in game, no real harm done...

(I already dont agree about veteran rewards begin "unfair" btw - this mentalty of "I need to have EVERYTHING right now!" amd always looking waht your neighbour has to make sure you dont get screwed over is just... disgusting. Believe me, its possible to live and play without Zidanes outfit for 3 years...)

Personally, I think if something is exclusive, it should remain exclusive.

I think it's all about perspective though. I don't ever see someone enjoying an exclusive item as them "rubbing it in my face" and typically when I find myself in that sort of situation, I just pull out an exclusive that I was around to get and we have fun swapping out rare items and reminiscing on those times and events. If you're allowing exclusives that other people have to ruin your game because you missed out on them, then you're concentrating too much on those other people and not enough on your own enjoyment of the game. It's not an accurate statement that everyone's game is effected (especially ruined) by things they don't have access to. I started the game late and never had access to the mounts you've listed, it doesn't effect my gameplay not to have them.

...well, except the GC chocobo, isn't that ARR's default mount? If you mean the legacy choco, that was a part of a promotion in 1.0.

This has been going on since the early days of 1.0. When SE made the decision to start charging subs again in 2012 a great many people decided not to pay and let their accounts lapse. A larger number of people decided to stay with the game and SE decided to reward their loyalty with certain benefits and perks. Ample warning was given for those who left to return to claim these benefits. A large number chose not to. These are the same people who are now crying for things they did not earn. I have no sympathy for them. They made their decisions for whatever reasons and now must live with them. I hope SE stands their ground and completely ignores them. In full disclosure I must state that I am one of those who stayed active from Early Access to the present day and I enjoy what I earned.

Not argument with you, but if using what you said about legacy having special things, why is it OK for the people who do the raid to have to struggle and learn hard fight for 240 upgrade item to have them thrown out like candy for kill a hunt or void ark? Just because they don\\'t want to raid? That\\'s same thing no? No harm?

This whole debate blows my mind. If your only reason for playing is getting a Cloud outfit you're playing for the wrong reasons. Veteran rewards are low impact fluff items and I'm salty we're potentially losing out on getting them for good now because people are whining that they can't get a 3 year reward on day 1. Stick around to get them or don't get them *shrug*. If you wanna cosglamour an FF character that badly but don't want to wait, make due with the gear that is readily obtainable. I made a Palom After Years costume with random hodge podge gear, it's not too difficult.

Buuut ... it actually works with Yoshida. Remember time when you had to defeat trials and primals for relic? Yep, mindless grind now. Or PvP gear that gave advantage? Or story exclusive to raiders?

So, what is the difference? If Yoshida decided that everyone must have everything without any effort, why not add 1.0 mounts to it? Besides it's just vanity items, so they won't break balance between 1.0 and 2.0 players (more, at least).

No, it is not the same thing. You cant get the exclusive items from those raids if you dont raid - you dont raid for the upgrade items, but also for the gear you get from the raids and to beat those fights. Helping people to gear and catch up doesnt compare to wanting some vanity items so badly...
