I haven't seen this combo in the thread, so here's one of my favorites:
When it's off....
And then you turn it on!
It's a little finicky, but if you clip one of the housing district paintings just right the "off" overlay on the sabotender trophy will cover the painting! It also works with the Manderville portrait.
I also love this combo, it makes a nice pillar/partition/room separator. You kind of have to have those books (or something) there, because it needs to cover the clipping. It's two fireplaces back-to-back!

I'm hoping a housing decoration expert can help me - When apartments drop next patch, I'm wanting to decorate my apartment is a very French bakery, Parisian themey manner. So lots of whites / pinks and cake trays. I'm looking for some good suggestions or screenshots that would fit this theme to give me some ideas so I can get a jump start on crafting some of the items. I could have sworn, I saw something like this in this thread, but I can't seem to find it. Help?
I would check out http://en.ff14housing.com and peruse all the goods there. Check out the tabletop items for baked goods, tables/counters for display pieces and you may want to see if a cooking stove is cheap right now. You can also see what out of that can be dyed to your liking. Just remember that if you create counter tops with multiple items side by side, sometimes there'll be one piece of furniture that magically moves a bit so you'll end up with a small gap or small amount of clipping. Dart through wards on your server for ideas or to just see furniture pieces up close. You can also do google image searches for the various furniture pieces to see what others may have posted with those keywords to get more ideas from that.I'm hoping a housing decoration expert can help me - When apartments drop next patch, I'm wanting to decorate my apartment is a very French bakery, Parisian themey manner. It isn't much, but I like to add some toppings to orchestrions now and then.

I need an advice from housing experts. Find those beautiful recreations of the living room on twitter - this https://twitter.com/qb_21_/status/766677581496102913 and this https://twitter.com/qb_21_/status/777068583423664128. Now i want so badly try to recreate that kind of walls in game. But not sure what combo they used for. Can someone help?
the wood is the back of a glade wardrobe and the white is the back of the demon wall
I have a feeling most of these were created simply just for screenshot purposes due to the number of items they would require to create a functional space. It may be more of a visual request to SE for these sorts of things. The other side of those doors are going to be walls of demons, or at best long narrow hallways.I need an advice from housing experts. Indeed, that's all they are usually. The numerous Japanese (not always Japanese, but mostly) Lodestone, Twitter and blog posts out there are purely for screenshot purposes, right down to the very angle the image and time of day the set piece is positioned and taken at.
That's not to say all of them types of pictures are of that idea, but they usually are just one time set pieces to be pictured and put on blogs etc. You can have similar looking things, but they won't have that level of "wow" to them, and the amount of slots they take up will be large, so small houses are best for that sort of thing so you don't end up with a 90% empty house.
And yeah, they use them from time to time to request furniture ideas. That very picture is on the Japanese housing request board to get plain white partition walls, among other things.
They do look amazing, though, very creative and beautiful.
Still a work in progress, but just just made my temple inner sanctum mech girl power alter.
Love how the light looks like a power source for everything.
