Having a 30 minute to an hour long 'discourse with such a person would be grating on anyone's nerves and is no surprise that they were warned and kicked out.

It's only grating if you chose not to be receptive of another's views or no desire to discuss. Say your piece and say you're not interested in discussing it further. Do not just kinda brush it off as that just leaves most discussions to inquire further.

Civil discussions are quite enjoyable to have, but only if people are actually seeing points being made instead of twisting, cherry picking, etc.

I couldn't read past the 1st page of this thread because it looks like everyone is just confirming your notion that you can't compare this game to FF11 without emotional backlash and personal attacks. Sorry, OP. I agree this game is not great and can stand a lot of improvement.

Dont get me wrong: This game is surely not perfect and could need some improvement in certain areas!
I do have to say though that "complains" that are making a somewhat general statment are bothering and annoying me a little by now. Hearing "oooh, I'm so bored and this game sucks so much and XY is/was so much better" has gotten as old as WP-farming to cap your tomes. Sorry to hear that you're not enjoying this game - I might do right now or I wont be online at this very moment and I dont really wanna hear how much someone else just hates everything (including stuff they've never tried... looking at OP here, who has yet to clear some raids aswell as the last three EX-primals). If you enjoy a different game so much more... why are you spending your (little) time with this one?
I'm not trying to say "if you dont like it - there is the door!" - if you dont like specific things, you can pinpoint that, maybe even come up with another idea how to handle that etc. But if you're unhappy with the game as a whole or the general gameplay... why are you playing this game then? I know that I dont like guns, so I wont buy a Battlefield and tell everyone how much better it would be with bows and swords.

It would also be interesting to know what kind of Linkshells the OP was kicked from when they tried to have a "discussion" about how other games are so much better than this one and how raids (that they have never seen... or at least not completed) are "easy". Was it a social linkshell? a raiding one? hunting? pvp? There is a place and a time for every opinion. If I were to say something like "Oh, the new savage is way to easy" in a raid linkshell with people in it who are trying to clear it for the past months they would have every right to get mad at me because I would basically be saying "But you are just to stupid to do it!"
And yes, the fights are very scripted, and yes its a lot about memorizing them, learning the mechanics and execute them. How would you make a fight "hard"? If not by making it completly random (bad idea...) or designing a dance, that you have to learn carefully, as a group, that leaves little room for human error?

Fairly new to the game and just got to 60 a few months ago. I just started doing Alex Sav and I find it a little hard. Haven't cleared anything yet as I just started.. does that make me bad? I do see alot of people who complain about it being too easy. :c
