simple answer , people log in to the game to play it and have fun , not to discuss it all the time how "bad" something is :P and how good something else is :P
its fine to voice ur concern once or twice , but even then u still continue to do it everyday over and over and over again :P thats probably why people push u away .

Just gonna give you the brutal truth of the matter:

Complaining about XIV in XIV usually won't result in people agreeing. It's the same with complaining about it on the OF, everyone here has an active sub so nobody is going to be like "ah yeah man I love wasting money each month to play a game I hate". It's like going into a League of Legends stream, saying "League sux" and expecting people to agree - just doesn't work out.

Civil discourse would be really hard to come by, not necessarily because everyone who loves XIV is irrational but simply because it's you vs the world. Plus you don't really wanna spend whatever length of time you play XIV for discussing how bad it is.

There is NOTHING wrong with voicing ones opinion (good OR bad ) on occasion ...but to do so continually will result in something going wrong.

I wouldn't want to hear negative comments about ffxiv constantly anymore then constant rose tinted glasses opinions either. Too much of either is a huge turn off for me.

I find it very hard to find realistic "in the middle people", so I stopped trying long ago.

I too log into the game to play and have my version of fun!! Whatever it is..its mine and that all that matters, everyone should! But on the same note, I'm never scared to hear a negative comment about the game (because its UNrealistic to think there are none)...or any other tbh nor would I push anyone away for having that opinion.

Would I want my game time consumed by hater comments? err {no thanks} ...never.
Would I want my game time consumed by rainbow and lollipops answers regarding every aspect of the game? err {no thanks)..never.

A healthy balance somewhere in between is what I would seek but rarely found.

I'm extremely quiet in games.... part is definitely my nature ....but not completely why.

Raid mechanics aren't difficult nowadays, you've just to dance during 15min.

The real problem, which explain why the OP didn't cleared the whole Savage content, is to find a good static. Because most of the people raiding are casuals that just wanna try savage and can't question themselves about their playstyle. (Had a 800 dps MNK last week on Niddhog' EX, thanks PF)

Well theres one thing OP and I agree on. I too felt like 1.XX was slowly going into a really good direction. 1.23 looked great and it was actually the game I was hoping for when I started ARR, alas it was not and 1.23 was never "continued". 1.00 sucked, sure but the direction it was going was great imo.

I'm sorry but this isn't true at all. This sort of mentality prevents any kind of constructive discussion on a topic because you just shut down the argument by telling the opposition to stop talking. Using your own example it creates an entirely false stigma against vegans simply because certain people don't want to accept some truths that happen to be inconvenient to them.

This problem is now also eroding the MMO community as a whole. People shun the idea of having anything at all to do with certain games because of some sort of stigma attached to them. It's like the whole 'WoW clone' thing where every game under the sun is branded a WoW clone for simply adapting things that worked well in WoW. People act like copying good ideas is a bad thing; apparently it's better to come up with an inferior idea as long as it's original (hint: almost nothing is original in gaming any more).

FFXIV could stand to improve itself massively by adapting a number of features that were present in FFXI. The fact we've already started seeing such adaptations introduced (the PotD is an adaptation of FFXI's Nyzul Isle) is proof enough that the devs feel the same way. Stop dismissing any reference to FFXI out of hand; it's not at all constructive or healthy for the community.

Thats cause the OP is a lier and not a very good one. Got called out by kaze3434 and refuses to reply to their post out of embarrassment. They call content "easy" only after they are way overgeared for it and said "The only reason I die is due to lag spikes and human error"....... wtf is supposed to stop you then if not for the human error? Isnt human error the learning part of the fight? I mean I can say i've done everything in the game flawless in every DF party I joined if I just say human error doesnt count toward the difficutly of content. To them everyone is supposed to know every fight perfectly every time they enter it with no one learning or anything. Their mentaility is some weird mutated version of elitest that doesnt have the lvls, experience, gear, and I bet skill for any content currently or months ago.

Why did they even come on here to post about it being to easy when they themselves said they dont play much (how to raid if dont play a lot???) or have creditable evidence of their accomplishments beyond their own words?

Reason they are being bashed on cause they talk about things they have no experiences with at all, they are as bad as LBR when talking about raids.

I complain about 14 from time to time and I dont get bashed. Altho I dont go around lying about content I havnt done..... I dont hate 14 but wouldnt mind a few changes to make gear lust a thing or rewards that are insentivised better.
