I think if people are having fun they would play the game long enough to get the rewards. If grinding fates for yokai weapons isn't fun. The solution shouldn't be to make the yokai wpns need only 1 token and make the tokens drop 100%. The solution should be to make fates more fun to do. Or to give more than 1 objective for getting the weapons. This is NOT what the developers are even trying to do. The developers are just simply upping the drop rate on all the content instead of making the content more fun. Which is why people are getting "burnt out" regardless how much gear and glamour the devs are throwing at them.

If your not having fun doing 24 man raids and fates, im not sure how having yokai-themed weapon glamour is going to fix that for you.

I will admit a new glamour can help me get excited for a class, even if its only for a short time. Got all giddy over a boxing set idea for my monk and took me a few levels though all in all, burned out and done for now. That a Dragons Dogma online has been eating up a lot of time.

Which kinda leads me to another point I agree with, if the grind is fun people have no issue. Not saying everyone but for those of us who grind out the needed mats for our relic and gear only to be greeted with ANOTHER grind, its hard for some of us to want to go on. If it had come at a later time it wouldn't be as bad. Even though they gave us like 3 months to do it, a grind is a grind. They could have easily made the Yokai event fun by bringing in new or special events like what they did for New Years, or they could have brought in new GATEs or anything. Instead they chose the easy route and stuck it back to something we have been doing for so long. We ran these fates as we leveled, we ran these fates for our first Relic atmas and now we run em again for Yokai medals.

Tbh, if there's gonna be a grind it needs to either: 1) Quick. Which might disqualify it from being a "Grind" but I qualify the Moonfire Faire event a "grind" in some reguards and it was pretty quick. Or 2) Fun.
SE could edit this event fairly easily to make it quick, but sadly they can't do anything with it to make it fun at this moment. Hopefully they try to make it better in future events..
