I find it ironic that the housing already had the perfect placement for these apartments.

See the images and the ones ive taken today. This could mean that there will be 1 building per ward housing 512 players. So theres what? 12 wards now?
(512 x 12) x 3 = 18,432 apartments.

What needs to be done is one house and/or apartment per player, and much of the congestion would clear.


Honestly, I would be happy having a home in any of the cities despite being more in favor of Ishgard or Ul'dah, I'd be willing to go to *shudder* Gridania if it means finally having access to housing stuff. My FC can't get a house despite having the cash for a mansion, so this will give many of us access to some of the bonuses you get from having a home.

God, I miss stables....

When we get a maintenance announcement for 3.4, be sure to lower all your settings and close out background programs (Chrome, Skype, etc). This helps jump you ahead of queues.

But they did plan it long ago. Just like many others things. The game is full of hints and placeholders for the future. Some might be used some others not.

• Each building hosts 512 apartments.

• 3 Houses * 512 apartments = 1536 Apartments per server.

Doesn't seem that bad amount, as long as players won't buy themselves 15 apartments each.

If they had this setup planned from the beginning, they should have left the houses for fc's only, the apartments for players and released them at the same time.

The building is in all of the wards, but it has a shared entrance across the wards. hence why its 512 apartments x3 housing areas.

Just like the Mog houses In Final Fantasy XI. Only difference was they was free and everyone got one.
