Highly unlikely.
What lots of people seem to forget: Brexit hasn't actually happened yet and won't happen for another 1-3 years (if ever..).
So it would have no influence on a promotion that is currently being held![]()
I was not speaking about the price, but how it might have limited opportunities with companies. I am Swedish, so I know very well how game companies screw over certain countries.I doubt it. Even before that happened we had UK players - and certain other countries - charged much much for the Heavensward Collector's Edition compared to the price in other regions. Blizzard also hiked up the price of the monthly WoW subscription specifically for UK players not too long ago. So it's unfortunate but not uncommon for UK customers in particular to get screwed over. It may not even be intentional but...honestly it's one of those situations where clear and concise communication is sorely needed.
Considering that my job is already affected (very negatively, too) by the vote, I am very much unable to forget anything regarding Brexit. Seeing as the EU firmly stated that there will be no takebacks and are working to speed the process up, it is pretty certain it will happen. Companies are already pulling out from investments and events in the UK, so the effects have started to show even without them out yet.
I said this earlier on in the thread but it seems at this point that we're best hoping that they make an official statement about all this during the big anniversary interviews. I think that'd do a lot of good to ease relations between the developers and concerned players. I'd like to think that although there haven't been many official comments within this thread there's feedback being sent directly to the development team.
i got my maid dress today~~, case close for me now =P yeh~!!

Depend on the platform. PS4 and Vita games are not region locked.
But I think for the Gamestop you have to be in the store physicaly.

Now I just can hope someone can lend a hand to get the codes or wait they put items in Mogstation... if it ever happens.

In reply to my previous post, and after the disgraceful train wreck that was the UK campaign, I finally got my items after teaming up with an Australian friend and by taking part in the AUS/Hanabee promotion (which also works for EU accounts). I ordered a DVD box set he had his eyes on, and got the promotional codes within an hour. It baffles me how stupid the UK campaign was in comparison, and I hope they never do this sort of thing again.
Good luck to everyone else!

Something interesting to note.
I called a Gamestop store this morning and asked about the FFXIV promotion. At that time they knew nothing about it, but I just got a call back from them. I'd cited the text on the Lodestone to the person I talked to during my earlier call and when he called me back he said that the information on Lodestone regarding the Gamestop promotion was incorrect.
This applies at least in Finland but possibly in other countries for this promotion as well. I don't have means to confirm for other countries so maybe those who live in Sweden, Norway, Denmark or Ireland can reply with more information.
To get the promotion codes from Gamestop, you must either purchase any Final Fantasy game that is out already or pre-order the upcoming Final Fantasy XV.
He also told me that the codes would be in stock tomorrow in their store (I called the one in Tampere).

That shows what I said earlier in the thread was true - you need to show the actual codes & can't blank them out. It makes perfect sense otherwise only one person in the EU would need to buy the magazines & everyone else could just send in pictures of printed out versions of the scanned leaflets with no codes arranged to look unique.
