    Unpopular suggestion: Make raiding (great) rewarding again.

    Hello,
    well, this savage tier rewards you with achievement with no title, minion for one of eight people, dyable gear (either after 8 kills or with tons of luck) that looks exactly the same as from the easy mode and a random weapon (tons of luck again), 5 iLvl boost WOW!

    Might seem not that bad, I don't know, to me it doesn't seem as a huge motivation.

    I am not asking for higher iLevels, in this game glamour is true endgame anyways, so give us things that would stay with us even after a month. Mount, gear that doesn't have to be completely visually different (maybe random effects on shoulders etc., something that would look like upgraded version of the normal one) and a title would suffice (A4S was closer to this, atleast with the mount).

    Before some weird people rush in yelling at me that the challenging experience itself should be reward - Ok, pick a random dungeon of your choice that doesn't give any rewards and run it 3 hours a day, 4 times a week for atleast 2 months, then return and we can talk, minimal itemlevel of course so you can get a challenging experience.

    EDIT: I would also ask for a little bit of story added on the top of normal mode story but I am afraid I would trigger some people. =(

    EDIT2: I am aware of the 2 threads discussing raiding matters, unfortunately these 2 threads aren't looking into rewards and are more concerned with the fights themselves. I support those threads but I feel like I am aiming for a bit different suggestion, that's why I made another one.

    I don't even raid anymore because why would you do savage if you get the story easily from normal mode. That being said i agree with your suggestion and applaud you for voicing your opinion

    Thank you, I lost it for the first time in 3 years after A7s, but then kinda decided to return to A8s to try to finish the deal before 3.4 is out (running out of time here, but we will make it ). I can definitely say there are less people interested in raids than there were before, it is reallyy hard to find experienced replacements.
    There will always be people who can stay motivated only for the challenge and bragging rights, but if you look at any content in this game, the main drive to do it is reward (who would do PoTD without rewards? daily roulettes? Diadem?), so there is no reason not to reward raiders with some exclusive fluffy stuff.

    I don't mind if they add more gear/mounts/titles ect to raiding to make it more rewarding.

    I hope they don't add more story though. I never got past t9 in ARR and it was really frustrating missing out on the story because of it.
    I like that I can see the story with normal mode Alexander and not have to worry about clearing the high end raid.

    At the time of coil I tried not to look on Youtube and was looking forward to every clear just for the story. I am really unlucky with drops and there weren't tokens so I did it mainly for the story, but I can really live without the extra story. I sneaked it in in the edit but that's probably the least important thing in my request list at this moment and also it seems like the only concern of non-raiders in raiding rewards related threads and I kinda understand it.

    If you meant the "future savage raid discussion" and "are the raid tiers too hard?" I must say, that I am aware of these threads but they in no means aim for the same thing as I do. I don't have a problem with mechanics or difficulty of the current raids, I loved A4s and I am enjoying A8s so far too, my only problems are rewards.

    Also mount/glamour/minions/titles is not enough. Story - might make raiding interesting again, but it must be veeery good one.

    Also "challenge is reward itself" - in all those years I have met exactly 1 (one) person with this mind set (I have been hardcore raider before, so I know quite a few people). Everyone else was raiding only to get reward, be it story, gear or whatever.

    The problem with reward is that it gets nullified too fast. The smart and hard solution is to rework battle system as a whole, which is hardly happening. The simple and no-brain solution is this: make lowest 1st tier raid gear stronger than strongest end-dungeon/tomestone gear.

    Example: if 4.0 starts with ilvl 300 (when you get char to lvl 70) and 4.5 ends with ilvl 375 then 4.0 1st Raid should drop ilvl 380 gear. And if 5.0 starts with ilvl 400 then 3rd Raid of 4.0 should drop gear 410. This way raid gear always stays relevant for whole expantion and you actually need to farm each Raid tier to procceed.

    That would make raiders much happier and interested in content.

    I am huge fan of "keep things in one thread" movement, but I cannot talk about rewards in thread that is about difficulty.
    It would be like selling hotdogs at Subway fans meeting.

    With how fast it gets nerfed and how little the rewards are my raiding team has also, long stopped. Didn't bother with any 3.0 raiding.

    Put interesting stats on the rewards, make it worth it, make other content that is equally as challenging or more so (in the open world even!) that makes my raiding gear useful..and perhaps then I will do it again.

    I feel like there's no incentive to get the gear because it's only marginally better than the tome gear and there's nothing after savage that requires it.

    Here's what needs to happen, make the raid gear 10ilvls better than any other gear currently in the game, then when the next patch comes out, the ex primal requires an ilvl that only raiders will have (until 3-4 weeks when the tomes catch up). This way, there's some exclusivity and a challenging boss that only raiders will be able to access for a while. That's a good goal.

    Having gear that's better means nothing if it doesn't give you access to any harder fights that require it.

    EDIT: This also comes with the added bonus of there being learning parties for the ex primal content for a longer period of time because people will be getting the gear for the fight over a longer period of time. Right now, anything after the first couple weeks is farm, first wipe = kick.
