Could we get an HD texture pack for the PC?

I mean it sucks ps3/ps4 can't have it to the same extent as a PC player but it is what it is. Why should people who have systems more than capable of higher graphics not be allowed to experience that? Equalizing everyone isn't right and its pretty lame to allow it. People may get mad but thats not my problem, save up and by a PC and if you can't then I'm sorry but you can still enjoy the game regardless.

I wonder if FFXI's lower graphic settings never really impacting the game's financial fidelity is part of the reason graphical upgrades to FFXIV are so low priority.

FFXI always looked like a meh PS2 game to me graphics-wise, but that didn't stop it from making bank for SE.

That mentality may be why SE isn't willing to put the effort toward an HD pack. Not having one isn't keeping us from playing....

And? Its 2016 almost 2017 people like different things now compared to back in the ps2 era. Just because it was that way then doesn't mean it has to be that way now. We keep showing and asking SE for this the least they can do is answer our questions.

I wouldn't have an issue with this if I wasn't paying for an improvement that only benefits you (which is what I would be doing).

It's like them making new spell animations and emotes just for console. I bet my bottom dollar none of you would be happy about that.

To be fair, PC players could make the same argument about gamepad control adjustments. In fact, they're making a whole new hotbar addition or something last I recall. Likewise, the money accumulated from the cash shop really only benefited EU players. Sometimes they do improvements that only effect a portion of the fanbase, be it specific content, graphics etc. I'm not going to complain about my sub money benefiting PS4 players because I'll likely see a benefit they won't eventually. And vice versa.
