    What I dont understand is...1.0 had some of this stuff in the game already when Yoshi took over, before he decided to get rid of it. A perfect example was NMs. We had them! They dropped gear! They were NOT over camped because the gear was average level or just kinda cool looking. We dont even have the player base to make OP gear dropping NM's THAT much of an issue! Joking on that last sentence...kind of.

    After 3 years of playing since Beta some of my personal experiences (I don't speak for everyone)

    Likes:
    - Overall look of the game and some really nice areas (but could use a High Rez Patch for PC players weapons/armor/etc..)
    - PS4 Version is nicely done and surprising well on a controller
    - MSQ is good, got better towards the end of ARR, Really good for me personally in HW
    - Dev team continuously nailing aestheics of dungeons etc.
    - Voice Acting (would love to see more if it in Side stories too, people tend to care more about whats going on when there's a VA and not a wall of text =P)
    - Housing
    - Everything on one Character w/Alt's as an option (Just like FFXI)
    - 1st MMO I've actually got really into crafting and somehow is a mini-game onto itself
    - My LS Sisters ^^

    Dislikes:
    - Character Creation could be better (Especially for a P2P MMO, would love to see an overhaul done)
    - Most jobs feel like there suffering from identity crisist
    - 1st FF Game that I have no interest in SMN (This hurts me inside a bit. Its one of my favorite jobs in the series that feels like its been reduced to playing with pokemon, which I guess is ok for some. And I can't believe people are giving the Dev team a pass and are excited for "Egi Glamours" instead of actual egi's or SMN content. FFXI they had the image of the avatars from using fraction of there power, that rule don't apply to XIV and If there going to be like pokemon then I would love to see them do what they do and Evolve into there own bigger unique forms that look nothing like the current primals)
    - Too much Armor Design Recycling
    - Item Lv Climb is too fast making gear instantly obsolete the moment the next patch drops
    - Glamour almost feels like it's the only thing that has longevity in this game (Don't get me wrong I love glams and making them, customization is just sorta a thing I love but it feels like the item lv climb is fast for this reason)
    - Some kind of "Wardrobe" system really needed
    - Fluff > Content it seems
    - Game feels like its determined to hold your hand and coddle you through your enitre experience which is ok for some but not all
    - Lack of that sence of Dread (rarely ever have I felt like my Characters life was in danger in the open world and whenever I do die, its like "Ehh whatever, back to homepoint")
    - Under utilization of GuildHest System (I really feel this could be use for special/seasonal events as well instead of constant FATE grinds and create some fun mini/short burst scenarios)
    - Mindless FATE zurg grinds (probably one of the most unique FATEs i've seen created was the Drakscale FATE in Churning Mist that has Mechinics added to it and enjoyed that one, whoever designed that plz make more from now on lol xD)
    - Not enough open world Bosses (Odin is a old fight but damn its still fun too do, wouldn't it be awesome to see Ifirt/Garuda/Titan etc.. in the open world too?)
    - Housing System (Designed in such a way that it will never meet demand for them)
    - Almost all gear not dyeable on day one (if at all)
    - Grand Companies feel almost irrelivant to the game itself (There's almost no loyalities to the GC's people choose and some are choosing said company that there friends are on just so they can PvP with them.. I remeber someone saying about how loyal people were to there alligence in FFXI which I fondly remember because to this day I still have a San D'oria key chain in my hand and proudly tout San D'oria to the end lol XIV though? Not so much but still Waiting to see what Yoshi does with the next ranks but still Love Merlwyb, she's Awesome <3 lol)

    Like: Generic game BUT very well made generic game. Better than most of those "next-gen"(lol) mmorpgs.
    Dislike : Sharp contrast of a superbright sky and massive pitch black shadows . Makes my eyes bleed

    Like:

    -Being able to change my Chocobo.
    - Being able to dye my gear.
    - Being able to have all jobs on one character.
    - The fact that the starting races remind me of the race's from FFXI.
    - I like how flying works in this game and the quest you had to go on to enable to unlock the ability to fly.

    Dislike

    - Hate the fact that Deep dungeon, dungeons are so boring once you get past the boss on floor 10. It's mainly the design of the dungeon the look of it never really changes just feels like a giant boring cave. FF XI had giant caves and they was more interesting. Deep Dungeon should of been apart of the open world it should never of been apart of Duty Finder. There should be more creative floor designs. Deep Dungeon should of been its own zone with in a Zone in my honest opinion.

    - I really hate the armour progression it's really boring there's no real thought to beside Item level.

    - I hate that Mi'qote the cat race just looks like a Hume with cat ears and a Tail.

    - I stated this before and I will say it again Summoner was implemented wrong. We never got a chance to taste summoner out in the beta. I hate the fact that we have brought this up and the dev team don't listen to are complaints and constructive criticism. They could of used the design of the summons in FFXI, just made them smaller. I hate the fact that the class is a dot class. They could of given us a pet class where we gave to control and manage the pets at the same time being area of are surroundings.

    - I hate the fact that we are getting a glamour system instead of taking the time to rework summoner.

    - I hate that Yoshi P took to much time getting the devs to play WOW and this game just feels like a poor mans version.

    - I hate that after 1.0 this game has slowly lost its identity.

    - I hate the fact that I no longer feel like I have a reason to play this game seem like I'm only coming back for the updates there isn't a lot keeping me wanting to play the game 24/7.

    - I really really really hate that there is no Elemental Wheel. The reason why they decide not to use it is a really bad excuse.

    -I hate that there is no real strategy when playing the boss fights.

    - I hate how you don't really need a strategy when playing this game i.e dungeons all dungeons have the same format once you know that format your good to go.

    - I hate the way gear is used in this game. The fact that once a new patch comes out there is no use for the old gear time to throw it away. Besides turning it in to Materia

    - I hate the game seems to be more about Glamour with gear. This game is starting to look and feel shallow with very new update. Come on Yoshi P bring on the meat we are ready for it.

    - I hate the fact that we have Hard Mode and Extreme Mode for primal fights it just seems like a waste of time and resources. It is like the dev team are scared to go out side the box with these fights and dungeons. Said this in my last post thought I say it again.
    Be spontaneous think out side the box stop giving us the same format with just a different type of skin on it.

    - I hate that is so easy to get to places in this game there is no real excitement when traveling to certain towns or getting to an area where a fate is, even at a high level I go throw a zone with high level mobs and I don't feel like I have to be careful when going through areas.

    - I hate the camera position on flying mounts, it just feels like its in the wrong place.

    - I hate crafting is kind of boring and feels long and a chore to do. I wish we had like studios/ rooms where you have to really interact with the equipment to make items and gear. Like when your cooking if you have to cut a item you really do have to cut an item put things in the oven, bam after a few minutes the item is ready but depending how you cut and prepared everything would depend on the HQ of the item. Even if they couldn't implement that it would still be fun to watch. Say you press the buttons like you normal do and you see the character moving around using the facilities.

    - I hate how boring it gates when it comes to gathering.

    P.S to Yoshi P and Dev team pay attention to what the western side of the forums are saying don't just focus so much on the Japanese side. Because sooner than later is FFXIV continues the way it is now the servers in this game are going to die and become a waste land. You will lose subscribes. You need to fix up. Because this game you are playing and how you are delivering this game right now is not a smart choice or move. Please be more bold with your content. Don't be scared to take a risks and be true your self with want you want to give us.

    I believe this is a common misconception with those who either disliked FFXI greatly or never played it. Bringing FFXI as a reference is a good comparison when bringing up MMO aspects, just as much as WoW is. It comes up more granted because many people went from FFXI to FFXIV and know the experience quite well. Referencing things that went well with FFXI is just a good idea lol...it doesn't make you a fan boy. What is wrong with the elemental wheel or horizontal gear methods exactly? Battle animations for each race???? Because FFXI did them? We can't add them simply because only blind fanboys want them? That's just silly.

    Making another XI is the last thing they need to do but Making reference too XI isn't bad at all.. its one of the few MMOs that can't be called a WoW Clone because WoW released 2-3 years after it, the Devs already have been taking things from other FF games (Hell the most of the character models, Monster models, ability names, and more are taken from XI with an High Def spin). So why not take things that worked and put a XIV spin on it. (and I know I'll catch flack for saying this but needs to be said) Sure 1.0 Failed but for all Tanaka did, at the very minimum, at least he was thinking about XI & XIV original content that actually had longevity. I will give him at least that much. But a lot of people keep mentioning other MMOs because they tend to leave lasting impressions on you, those impressions in this game have been so few.     I dislike RNG cards while they're in the state that they are in (often unusable, must be right clicked away). I'd be happy if Spear was more practical and Bole was buffed to 15%.
    I dislike the ugly and relatively low impact Summoner pets. I'll overlook the low impact part once Carbuncles exist again.

    I like the glamour items in this game and the pretty spell effects on each mage/healer.
    Love playing a healer and feeling like I'm hard carrying a team through to victory.

    I like a lot of stuff but I want to complain more lol.

    Patterns - The first because this is my biggest complaint. I dislike the fact the game is still going the same pattern it has been for 3 years and has seen no change in it. Not one bit.
    You get a 'Casual' patch, then you get a 'Hardcore' patch [sorry for lack of better terms], and little things in between. It nets you only a week of two's worth of play. 2 dungeons, one's rehashed from 2.0 and 1 new one. 1 add to a raid. Yawn.
    Side Stuff always fails. - The side features crap no one gives a rat's behind about IE. SS, LoV, DD and Diadem. They try to add little side stuff that flops fast.
    Housing - Housing has gotten me forum banned before because I was so upset about how SE has treated it.
    They need to keep pushing Sub divisions or something. Stop giving us furnishings when most of us have no home.
    Add Apartments or something at least.
    Depth in Battle/Gear - 50/50. The battle system is too simple. Nothing at all makes the mobs die faster or anything to tune our weapons, some skills render useless like Sleep after the beginning dungeons.
    It's just have BiS and go. Everyone's pretty much the same too. Gear is recycled constantly.
    FATES - This has to stop. Please, stop making almost everything related to FATE's. PLEASE. That is all.
    Crossovers - This is a 50/50 but this makes the game suffer an Identity Crisis. I dunno what this game is trying to be when they pick and pull a lot of things from other games. It needs to be it's OWN game.
    There is too many constant nods from previous FF's and my friend literally told me 'well that's kinda the point of this game, a fanservice game.' Well that's honestly horrible to hear.
    PvP - Fix it and make it more teamwork friendly. Not everyone zerg to point A and B or Spank everyone just for the hell of it. Where's that Frontlines thing you had going? FANTASY EARTH ZERO DAMMIT! D:<
    Classes - Just get rid of this all together and make it Job's only. Feels unnecessary and only useful for CC skills that should already be within a job. It's just a silly advancement thing.
    Lockout raids until next patch - There is ZERO reason for a lock out on ANY content whatsoever. "But people in DF can't do such and such and they will complain BECAUSE IT'S TEW HARD!"
    Ya'll complain about everything and the difficulty anyways? That's why a lot of the games content is watered down into the depth's of hell.
    If people wanna do crap in DF, let them. SoF was a good one and I am glad VA2 is untouched. It's in a good medium right now.
    Difficulty - I think they're starting to get it right, as I said from above, VA2 is a really REALLY good raid right now that's in the sweet spot for medium difficulty.
    There are still near wipes after all this time and it's still amazing to see people help each other, and get it. You have to push more of that out in 4 man and 8 man dungeons PLEASE.

    So that's all I can think of that bugs me. I'm waiting for 4.0 for a good change or I'm just going have to take a walk. I can't take the same nauseating pattern y'know?
    Game is a Theme Park I understand but damn, it's a Super Theme Park because I already know what's going to happen next. Same ride, different colours.
    SE just needs to get something going and it pop's without being a bust somewhere to keep people playing for more than a week or two lol.
