To be fair, didn't a flying Goobbue get mentioned at some point... I'm still not sure if that was a joke or if Yoshi really intends to do that later on. Just the picture of it is.. lol.

I think there was some chat in the forum at the time of the goobbue flapping its arms like a humming bird, it still seems silly even thinking about it now

There really isn't an excuse for Sleipnir to be in the cash shop either, but what can you do .

While I might have agreed earlier, SE opened the floodgates when they made so many fly. Not to mention, we now have four mounts on the Cash Shop which can all fly. Two of those mounts, while not account bound, are half the price, one the same and one only five dollars more. It's a fair criticism to say "I paid the same as someone who bought Bennu. Why doesn't mine fly too?"

SE brought this on themselves, really. They could have limited flying to say, just your Chocobo.

I think the floodgate opened when they showed the Fat Chocobo fly. If something that barely has wings is capable of flight, then anything is possible (and I don't really like that. Hate turtle flying, not a fan of Fenrir flying and I'm not looking forward to seeing what ridiculousness SE has in store for the current tank mounts).

That's even worse? If I buy a car now and 10 years from now all new cars have a self driving mode and mine doesn't I'm going to bitch that my car doesn't have a self driving mode and the manufacturer has to upgrade me for free?

They can choose to upgrade whatever they want. The thing you bought didn't have flying included in the price and you knew that when you bought it. If they ever add it, it'll be a generous bonus.
