    We discussed a possible solution to this by using a similar stance system as Monk does. Instead of Terrain being a straight attack, it added certain effects to a handful of other skills, such as defense/offense/enmity modes.

    Another, I think, would to let Terrain be a proc kind of skill, in a similar fashion to Sheild Bash as a Pally. Perhaps a mace/warhammer as their main hand and bell in the off-hand, with the bell coming out for certain skills.

    FFXI actually had a fascinating take on GEO, but I feel translating that version would be better slated as a new flavor of healer as that job looked to be more of an AOE buffer from my research.

    I'd figure Geomancer would specialize in the Area Skills like Shadow Flare or Sacred Soil.

    Truly a logical idea, i see that being similar as well for the job. Maybe multiple aoes down at the same time unlike sch who can either have shadowflare or sacred soil down at one time(or did they fix that) was thinking about feng shui and the use of ley lines as well, if they want to give it more realism and lore on top of the classic terrain skills

    So something that came to mind when looking at a few threads. Would the idea of a class about shifting shape work out? More of a nod to Final Fantasy 6 in how Terra can transform, the idea of having a class revolve around that. Perhaps could even go alongside working with the Arcanist guild. Now granted I don't have a single idea about the class name or even what kind of lore or idea could be put into it. The idea stemming from Summoning Egis, but trying to grasp their power in a more direct form as opposed to controlling them. Perhaps when in human form they can use claws more designed for slashing as opposed to monks punching but once they get momentum going they can expel built up energy to transform into their beast form (customization maybe in color of skin/fur/claw, whatever) that will last till expelled fully.

    Honestly, just an idea. Sure it would sound 10x better if I could provide skills and better explanation but I suck at all that.

    True but much like Summoners and Egis, we just do it on a smaller scale. I'm sure someone could come up with much better idea or flesh it out much more than I could. xD

    The Whole idea being able to transform into a creature i think that should be a new hybrid of Beast Master. If we don't get Beast master as a pet job it would be cool to have it be like a shape shifter instead.

    Geo for ground effects would be cool.

    In addition you could add special effects for combining ground moves.
    For a VERY simple example:
    Fire ground - high (compared to other ground) damage
    Water ground - Weakens monsters defense
    Together they create a bleed effect on the monster(s)

    and of course they have dps such as tornado and earthquakes, ect.
