Not only do new players have a "hope" of getting these. It's guaranteed if they stay with the game long enough. If you want the reward for subscribing for X days, just stick with the game for X days and you'll get it. And sure, some of them take quite a while, but they took just as long for everyone else. They're equally available to everyone.

This is nothing you're catching up on, its a gift, something extra. Nothing you "achieve", nothing you are entiteld to have. Its a "Thank you!" and something we most likely wouldnt get otherwise.
And what do you even want? SE to stop rewarding people who are supporting this game over a long period of time?
No one is forcing you to play this game longer than you want - they're only saying "thanks" if you do.
So what? Even if it is uncommon that doesnt mean its bad? You can just ignore the veteran rewards all together if you dont want them, you dont have to look at those items and be like "ooooh, I'll never have this because I dont wanna support the game for this long and wait for it"

Crazy idea here.
I would like to get some exclusive content that can only be unlocked by Veterans. And then be able to choose from a variety of gear that is only available to Veterans. Yes I do believe that if I am a loyal paying customer I should get exclusive perks. Every other business in the real world offers that to create loyalty and long term patronage... so I want exclusive dungeons, exclusive gear, exclusive content and on top of that the option to choose which one I want as a "gift" whenever my subscription allows me to get to that level. I am spending RL money I want RL perks. Stop the whining and either subscribe or not but ultimately loyalty and support should be REWARDED.

If I stayed consistently subscribed, I'd have Tantalus gear.... But I didn't so I don't.
Doesn't bother me any. I'll get it eventually.


Besides, the only verteran rewards worth any legit, ingame value are the Aetheryte tickets. The rest is just vanity. If you want to cosplay, great, just wait to get the goods like everyone else.

you mistake me if you think i have a problem with you not deserving it. i couldnt care less about having a reduced sub fee, burnt chocobo or char tatoo. Those are things legacy players deserved, and it would be quite redundant for what ive said about veteran rewards to be any different. Those were things promised to you legacy players if you subbed for whatever period before they shut down the servers, chill. What I meant is this: These rewards ARENT unobtainable at all, the op simply has to reup subs to get them, and to op what exactly is the complaint? And yes the only way these rewards are unobtainable is if, like i said the game shut down. Agree or not its the truth. Also this game wouldnt be without people supporting the original, so thank you for helping it become the working game that it is now. So to me you are special since you were there when i was not
