You loved the game and you loved how the character acted, was developed and eventually ended up whether its a main character like vaan or clourd or squall or like my favorites cyan, basch, kain....
What bothers me, is that unlike something has changed, you can only pre-pay 6 months at a time, or something like that.
I would gladly pre-sub for a year if it meant being able to obtain some of the rewards faster, but i am not allowed to do that either.
Or did that change?

there seems to be no limit on time card codes at allWhat bothers me, is that unlike something has changed, you can only pre-pay 6 months at a time, or something like that.

I dont see the problem with Veteran Rewards, new players can just sub as long as the old ones.
Its actually great that those rewards exist imo! Something fun to show how long you have been playing.

I'd still prefer creating my own original charactes in that case. I can't see the joy in running around as a character that is essentially out of place in Eorzea.
About exclusivity. I don't think I can agree 100% at all. NA players tend to like exclusive items? Maid/Butler outfit, White Choco, Titan/Ifrit mask, Korean items, Chinese items.. All those things that are by right.. exclusive so it should've been okay but it wasn't. People begged, ranted, whatever it took, to get those exclusive items.
I think the key here is that when something is kept from *US*(NA) then that entitlement/special snowflake argument goes out the window. But when people are able to get them or already have them, they don't care about those other people.
This is the same for the events. The events come out, people do them and get them. People miss it and want them. They are called special because they want to obtain those things.
Then mogstation only stuff comes out. People buy it. Then people are angry because they don't want to buy it. While the people who bought it *likely*(<- generalization) don't care about those other people and call them snowflakes.
[MOBILE CONTINUATION]
Basically the special snowflake/entitlement is always thrown around when people have something and others don't. People always want stuff that is exclusive because they do not have it.
So to call someone a special snowflake and say NA likes exclusivity while people are out there with maid outfits and White Chocobos is wrong IMO. Hypocritical kinda.
All that said, I don't like the veteran length THAT much but what can SE do other than make it longer lol? So I'm okay with it. And it is a "Thank you" reward. Seems okay to me.
Now what I hate is the Astrope grind.. UGH xD
There's a good way to say you have something. And a bad way..
Good: I did it, and got it. So can you. Deal with it.
Bad: I have it and you don't. Deal with it.
When it comes to housing items, events, migration items, raiding stuff even others, people mostly use the bad way. In this thread it's mostly the good way actually. I did it. Others did it. So can you. You can say the positive version in a negative way, vice versa for negative.
I often wonder how NA would feel if JP came in outta nowhere back "then" and called us all self-entitled, special snowflakes etc for wanting their exclusive stuff. It wouldn't be pretty.. But we use it against each other in any chance we get :/
