Here is what I want to see in FFXIV especially in the battle department. When I am in a group or solo I want to have a moment of "omg I am going to die" then somehow win the fight with beads of sweat poring down my face and my heart racing as if I just got finished running a marathon. I want to see heavy mechanic driven dungeons so the healers have to heal and the tanks have to actually tank.... where tanks have to stay in tank stance bc who knows what will drop on there face. I want to see fights where you actually have pay attention and see what the boss is doing... no scripts, no markings, no aoe indicators.... simply you staying focused and the healers at the ready to heal your sorry excuse of a player because you got a foot to the face.... seriously. "MAKE IT SO"
Im not talking about just raids I mean in most of the content. I want to feel like I earned whatever loot drops... I want to give each encounter a 10 out of 10 and do it again. I use to laugh when folks say that they hated AV back in 2.0. I absolutely love that dungeon. AV is an amazing dungeon with awesome mechanics and tanking cyclops was so much fun. I almost had that same feeling in the vault dungeon especially on the last boss fight.

Were numbers invented or discovered? How many Moogles does it take to make Kuponut rum? Answer: zero... They will give you a quest to make it.
Does anyone have link to the breakdown of the registered accounts? Where are they from, paid game, trial accounts, RMT? Doesn't matter if they have 5 million registered accounts if not even 25% of those remain retained paid subs. "Registered" accounts does not mean how popular a game is.

Haven't you heard? Glamour / Mount farming is the true end-game.
I like glamour as much as the next person but it is funny to the fact that any suggestions to
events, people want clothes and stuff. I feel like they push 'casual/fluff'
stuff too much and really need to focus on the big wheels.

That is my main argument with you, you don't properly explain yourself. It always boils down to you saying it will work because you and your friends say so. If you feel the need to claim you speak on behalf of the community, then I better see the facts and evidence that shows this. If not, then what you express is simply your own opinion and those who agree with you in here. I don't go out looking for reasons to be negative to your posts. I, my own opinion, believe what you think is right for the game is very wrong. I wouldn't dismiss each idea you have, but you haven't given me anything to work with yet.
I am sure that is the same reason for a good amount of people in here have argued against you in here. Just looking for a fight, right? No possible chance that what we believe you say is wrong and misguided? No? Okay.We have had debates before where your arguements make me bash my head to a wall where you intentionally find arguements when there really is none so with this beeing said i will always continue to ignore you after this post.
You don't have anything to prove to me if you are speaking of your own personal opinion. What I simply ask is if you believe it is better for the community as a whole, then explain how it works on all levels of play, that this game heavily promotes. You keep pretending that how you feel about the game represents everyone's thoughts when it doesn't. I argue back that your ideas promote favoritism and an unbalanced mess, my evidence being 10+ years of playing FFXI under the systems you praise and even been playing it recently to knock some story content out. Also, contradict myself? You apparently have access to things i say end game? So if that is the case, what exactly do I say that I contradict myself? My opinions on the matter in game are very similar to what I write here.No one here has anything to prove to you sorry. People are voicing their opinions and "few" is an understatement you are just beeing naive. You are on hyperion for example you see exactly whats going on here. Especially during the conversations that goes on in your FC and linkshells where i have friends that pretty much know you contradict yourself either here or in the game and we don't know where it is.
I have a feeling this won't be the last thing you say to me.This is my final time replying to anything you say.
I can always be proven wrong, i'm not some genius or know it all, just some asshole who apparently doesn't have much to do besides argue with people on forums. What I argue against you is that you can't prove how it works on multiple levels of play. At least others in here have attempted to do so, or even made good points in their arguments. I won't dismiss a FFXI idea, I can name things myself I want to see. Like I said to another guy, I am sorry that I find your ideas in particular not good. Sorry, opinions man.I've made myself clear on what needs to be changed I'm not a game developer and neither are you. As much as you assume your answers are the only thing correct people agree with what i have to say so start with getting that part in your head.
I personally don't think it is one reason alone WoW's numbers have dropped. Obviously age is one thing. Over time Blizzard has changed things dramatically and I imagine it may have put a bad taste in some mouths and looked for other MMO's. MMO's in general are not as popular as they use to be and there are a lot of options out there. Legion may just be an attempt to bring people back with nostalgia. "Hey remember Burning Crusade? The one everyone loved? Here it is again!" I am just looking at it from the outside since I quite during Cataclysm.

Maybe it doesn't bother some but my big issue is...since playing since 1.0...I feel like I'm often doing the same thing. If anything the addition of tomes have made it worse. FFXI had a different way to obtain gear and obtaining it felt valuable due to the method and the fact it didn't go out of "cycle" almost immediately. In addition there was a horizontal selection on how to gear yourself, so you could choose different methods as you leveled and endgame. This game claims being able to do the same, but really theres very few options. And again, these options become out dated quickly. You know how tired I am of relic grinding just for it to immediately become weak? In FFXI sometimes getting gear was a nightmare, but getting it gave bragging rights for a long...long time.
His main is Skizzle Abernath. He used to post as Skizzle, but suddenly stopped using that account in September of last year. Right around the same time, the Fizzle alt started posting, claiming initially to be a friend of Skizzle's, who just happened to share identical views and use an identical posting style.

Seeing both numbers are pulled from SE themselves, both would have the same standard of equation; i.e. if RMTs are counted amongst FFXIV's totals. They will also be counted amongst FFXI's.
I'll agree to some extent they need to branch away from tomes in the next expansion. But I just don't see the benefit to a system wherein it takes forever and a day to actually obtain the desired gear. By the time I'd actually unlock that weapon, I would have stopped caring about it ages ago-- if I even bothered to begin with. For me, gear is simply something that boosts my efficiency at the game. I equip it and never think about it again.
Yea but registered account don't really matter regardless who they belong to, from trying to search for XI account information I couldn't find any numbers for registered accounts only the amount of paid subs they had, which to me sounds like XI put more emphasis on actual subbed account and just not registered like XIV. XIV all like hey come play this game cause it has 5 million registered accounts when in fact less then a million of those accounts are actually retained paid subs. Which is why I said registered accounts don't show or prove how popular a game is, so if they are including RMT in it they just using that to their advantage to make the game seem more popular then what it really is.
