A way to make people we dislike invisible whilst we play

Oh no, don't get people like that started.

I see this on my server a bit too often and people who do stuff like this guy sometimes go into some crazy theories about how feminism is some giant conspiracy and it turns into a huge mess. Once it all starts, they can go on for hours.

As for the OP, unfortunately there's no way to do that, as they also have another pressing issue to fix: The fact that a person you blacklisted can still end up in a PUG with you. They still can't speak to you there, however. If they can't filter blacklisted players from grouping with you in the DF, I don't think they'd be able to make someone invisible yet.

Additionally SE could prevent us from winding up with blacklisted users in random duties like PvP, dungeons, et cetera!...

I have encountered (PvP mostly) nasty players I have added to my black list for a reason or another, I may not be able to read whatever they write in the party chat but that doesn't prevent them from talking abusively, it's just a way to not find out what they say!...

Seriously - this isn't a hard feature to implement and would help detox a good portion of the community that simply want to enjoy the game without having to be consistently disrupted by the look at me crowd.

I wish people would be more interactive instead of less, the only times I can see a feature like preventing others from coming into your field of view as a good idea would be preventing them from entering your yard, which I would totally agree would be a pretty cool feature, if they added a kind of gate at the front, since then it wouldn't be as awkward having a house you can't enter, but can run around on the front yard without hindrance on

Plus it would make it easier to see which house you can and can't enter from a distance, without using the minimap

If someone is harassing you they SHOULD be banned. It's not blowing anything out of proportions, they are getting what they deserve by harassing other. Report them one time, if they continue, report them again.

As much as I dislike FF and detest Anita Sarkeesian, I have to agree that there is a disproportionate amount of male gamers coming on to female avatars. I'm just speaking from own observations, including when I was playing FFXI as a Mithra. Constantly being hit on by male gamers, but never once did any woman gamer drool over my male avatars. Ugh... the number of male gamers that got disgusted when they found out my mithra was really a man... "I did it for the DEX." Macro'd response.
