Most of their damage coming from direct hits makes me think they'd like more SkSpd much more than PLD.
Well DRK actually has a really powerful DoT being Scourge (500 total potency once every 30sec). But since SkS increases DoT damage it IS beneficial to everyone with DoTs but its weight is still inferior to crit and det. It's just less detrimental to DRK than PLD because DRK takes a very long time to run out of TP now (I think it's the second most durable physical job right after WAR in terms of TP) and Scourge isn't a combo finisher unlike GB so you can use it in between any combo you want in order to re-apply it.

    Edit:

Actually WAR doesn't need any more SkS than what you need in order to fit 9GCDs within your Zerk, which is do-able with something like 2.44sec GCD. You need more than 1000 or 1100 SkS in order to fit a 10th GCD and doing that would sacrifice wayyy too much det/crit for nothing really THAT important since you have all you need for the perfect burst in your 9 Zerk GCDs. Having more SkS than necessary to get 9GCDs will only lead you to be pacified at half of your next GCD after your 9th hit instead of right after the start of the animation, meaning that the pacification will hurt you more.
