I wonder if the Chaos equivalent, if there is one, for FFXIV will be Lahabrea or Gaius van Baelsar. As someone who mained Gabranth in both Dissidia's I would love another "Judge" style character.

I would love for Gaius to appear also, Lahabrea is too much of a "generic bad guy" for me.
Eugh I'm so excited for this game! I played the **** out of the other Dissidia's and I'll do the same here.

Gaius or Nael for me too. The ascians are very "lord of darkness" generic, and we actually have distinct combat themes that can be used for both Gaius and Nael (ex mode is gold gaius and meteor nael?).
Poor bartz went from comedic adventurer to an ancient greek/roman prince in clown shoes![]()

Did the sprite department actually ever look at amanos work?
They should have made the default based off the sprite and have an alternate amano outfit (like they did with a lot of characters)

More likely it would follow Dissidia Duodecium and just have FFXIV only represented by Cosmos's side like FFXI was (only having two Cosmos characters - Shantotto and Prishe) - personally I would have thought Derplander would have made a better choice for FFXIV representative but, there you are.
Also I remember reading an article about the development of the first Dissidia and how Nomura and Kitase decided that each character would be unique in playstyle, abilities and appearance, so that makes it even less likely we'd see Gaius, Nael or another Garlean as an enemy, given the fact they would just end up looking too much like Gabranth from FFXII who is already in Dissidia (this was further proven why FFIX's Vivi has not appeared in it despite his popularity - there is already a 'BLM' character in Dissidia in the form of FFXI's Shantotto).
Either way, I guess we'll see soon enough.![]()
