Oh boy, these type of threads don't usually end well.

....Anyways, do those Hermes Shoes still grant infinite sprint in cities or was that just a 1.0 thing?

Don't really see the problem as I own most of these already and would have no qualms of other people owning these trinkets that were obtainable in 1.0. Their implementation is far too scarce and at this point, old.

And it still does, yep. Including in Ishgard.

I should probably dig these bad boys out. I live in town these days, would be nice.

In that case sign me up! I'd love infinite sprint in cities, since I'm usually there anyways.

As far as I know the chocobo mask, moonlit(?) earrings, star-spangled subligar (1.0 FSH reward) were all 1.0 exclusive rewards up until they made them available in ARR eventually. So why not some of these?Although I think some of them were special promotions that needed a code?

Not anymore - now they just automatically double the duration for the default Sprint action when in one of the three cities. But they do also have the highest DEF and MDEF rating for any level 1 footwear in the game (+8 for both), making them useful defense wise when levelling a class from scratch.

Either way, the Onion Helm and Garlond Goggles are still attainable, you just need to track down an unopened copy of 1.0 with the relevant item voucher and redeem it on the Mogstation to do so. Hermes Shoes however are completely unattainable, given the bonus that gained them was cancelled years ago (if anything more than encouraging players to have a simultaneous FFXI and FFXIV subscription it was rather a way to get FFXI players to move on from PlayOnline and upgrade to the SE Account Management System for handling subs, seeing as to gain the Hermes Shoes you could only link your FFXIV account with an active FFXI account that had been transferred to the SE Account Management System. But I digress.

Given that there is still plenty of 1.0 gear that is still unattainable in ARR if you didn't get it in 1.0 (like the White Raven Earrings, 'dated' gear, the special Guardian rings etc), so I don't see this ever making a comeback. But hey, I've been proven wrong before!
