Phantasy Star Online 2 had collaboration events!? I never actually played it online since that was before the ease of modern online gaming, but I still played that game to death. Granted, just because people feel excited for the possibility of future major crossover events doesn't mean that the game is being watered down. You just feel that way because it's been a while since the last Alexander release.

Well, when Palace of the Dead can be completed before a crossover event takes time to complete, then yea I do feel the game can become too watered down with collabs and crossovers like PSO2. So, it does worry me when people cling to crossover events more than anything else lately. I'm not trying to take away your excitement for crossovers or anything, but I want this game to stay FFXIV.

They had a magical girl summer event in FF11 that was a lot of fun, I'd like something like this in FF14.

One of them had these as rewards. One for females and one for males.


Other events related to the Mumor rewarded players with clothing that's pretty much already in the game (the yukatas).

You know an event theme around just a concept alone is not a crossover. This year's Moonfire Faire does take a lot from Tokukasu Sentai works but it is not a crossover.

A lot of people don't realize that the "Power Rangers Crossover!!" wasn't just because the devs wanted to add power rangers or something, but that like wearing sentai masks and all is a really popular thing for kids during summer festivals and the moonfire faire is a reference to those. It also gave the devs a good excuse for an all class armor event too.
