"Well, after doing 15 Moonfire Faire FATEs to get all my stuff I feel like this event was very innovative and entertaining." - Said no one ever?

I'd rather an event with a lesser amount requirement of fates, than an event that can potentially have you farming an infinite number of fates.
Also, what do you need 120 tokens for? It costs 37 tokens to get all the emotes, all the gear and the music. That leaves 83, which is worth 8 firefly lamps and another gear piece.

OR maybe we could get an event that doesn't revolve about doing FATEs at all. Naah.. impossible I guess.
EDIT:
120 tokens? Obviously I exaggerated but 1 fate is either 3 or 5 tokens, so it might take about 12 FATEs to get all emotes, gear, song and 1 furnishing. Not sure where you get 120 tokens from.

Except this event doesn't rely on FATEs. You've also got the option of doing the separate quests. Obviously, FATEs is the quickest.
You said 15 FATEs, I calculated 15 of each FATE and added it together, 8 per attempt at 2. 8*15 = 120.

I didn't count 2 different FATEs as a single FATE.
EDIT: My calculations were = 1st fate 3 tokens, 2nd fate 5 = 8 tokens for 2 FATEs = 48 Tokens (47 needed for gear, emotes, 1 furnishing, 1 song) for 6 FATE chains = 12 FATEs in total, I said 15 while it was 12, wow, how dare I. No idea how this changes the fact that the event is either about spamming a few FATEs or spamming a few fetch quests and you are done while there could be some more entertaining things to do.
Not sure how this fact magically makes the event fun but OK.
The amount of fetch quests or FATEs doesn't matter to me, I have already stated that in my original post, I want diversity.
Hello,
EDIT 2: Just to be sure that I am ready for the moment when someone with the "if you don't like it, don't do it" attitude joins in: Yeah, I don't like it, but I want to like it next time, that's why I am giving suggestions. There are many FATEs in game already, no need to implement more of them, when we can get completely new content.
EDIT 3: I am not making suggestions about the lenght of events but about the mechanics/ ways of completion.

There's 2 fates you can do, as well as 3 different repeatable quests. One requiring mount interactions, one requiring crafting, one requiring a battle class. If that is not diverse, I don't know what is.Originally Posted by The Dictionary

the state of being diverse; variety.
Please tell me if you'd rather they stick to atma farming for events.

Different types of run from A to B, speak with A then B etc. are still the same quests to me.There's 2 fates you can do, as well as 3 different repeatable quests. One requiring mount interactions, one requiring crafting, one requiring a battle class. If that is not diverse, I don't know what is.

I will tell you what diverse is to me.. wait, actually I did it already in the original post, nevermind then, I won't repeat myself.

What you're asking for is a lot.
What you're asking for is patch-worthy content. What you're asking for is content that is worth more than an event and may as well be an entirely new raid or venue in the game implemented for future use. Asking the developers to create entirely new mechanics for an event that lasts at max 1 to 2 months is asking them to drop a lot of cash. Each piece of content, from what I heard, is approximately tested 1000 times to make sure there are no glitches. If they use a system that works, and has been tested plenty already, then it's fine for them to reuse it.
You're asking a lot is what I'm saying. You'll notice something with the events we've had, and that is that they use very similar mechanics as it is. Though to be honest, they're 'holiday' events, so there's not much impact from them that you should expect...
You also mention that it should be innovative. Why should it be innovative when it won't matter as people will find the fastest way and do it that way?
(NOTE: I am not defending the choice of quests, but how the quests work mechanically.)
