I dont belive either a decision as such has been taken by one person it comes kind of silly to me

I just think the bajillions of good kind helpful posts should outweigh a perma ban from one outburst to people who deserved it :x, temporary suspension sure but banned?
ANYWAY this thread is getting WAY off topic
So I had this party that um...was actually pretty good. I was surprised. The end.

Went into Minstrel's Ballad: Thordan's Reign for the first time. As always, I prepared by watching a YouTube guide on the fight. Twice.
I explained it was my first time there. As I always do when it is my first time.
Everything is going very smoothly. Until the part where he stuns the healer. The video I watched said "Healer should stand behind Thordan and the raid should line up with the healer to soak up the damage."
So that's what I did.
I get stunned, but notice others don't move toward me. So I know I will die and we wipe. I apologize.
Before I have the chance to ask "Where should I stand?"
One of the players, using auto-translate function, begins getting offensive. "[Healer]!" "[What are you doing?]!?" and maybe 1 or two other things they said I don't remember.
Nothing constructive, anyway.
Don't they understand this is my first time here? I said so. Usually people are forgiving for ONE death.
Everyone else was kind, forgave me, and explained I should stand at 11:00 position. Not 6:00.
Check party list. Oh, they don't speak the language they registered for. The language everyone else in the party speaks.
Okay, well I forgive them then.
So we do it a 2nd time. Everything goes very well.
At the end, some of the other members apologized to me, and told me not to worry about the person who has a bad attitude, because there are sometimes people like that.
I'm really happy they supported me during my first run.
So, I just had an experience in PvP that legit is making me sad. I've got a problem with some effects in the game, like the famous holy (I play with effects turned off for anyone but me and dont play WHM for this reason, even turned my effects off while getting it up to 60) but also the flapping wings of the ahriman-mount (and ofc now the palace of the dead head-mount too...). I dont know why or what excatly it is thats making me sick, I suppose its the frequency of the wings flapping, but it doesnt matter that much after all tbh.
I queue for Shatter and two people in my party are already using this mount, so I turn my camera, try to see as little of them as possible etc. Thats a bit... semi-optimal when you're the healer though, so I ask nicely in partychat if they could use another mount, explain my problem and hope for the best... only to be greeted with the worst: Two other people responding to that with "Now I'll use the mount specifically for that" - and they do... great, whats wrong with people?! I knew it was a long shot to ask someone not to use a specific mount for my sake but switching to that mount because you know it will make another person legit sick?!
Since I've got better things to do than healing those type of people and lay in bed for 2-3 hours after that for my head to calm down again, I left without saying another word, hoping that no one in that party will switch to healer to make them lose their game...
That's probably reportable for harassment. So, I just had an experience in PvP that legit is making me sad. They specifically acted to make you feel physically ill once they knew your susceptability.
This is the kind of people who enjoy PvP. They get off on making other people miserable, so if they can't make the other team miserable, they'll turn on their own teammates. I spent years on an open-world PvP game, this kind of behaviour is extremely common. Two other people responding to that with "Now I'll use the mount specifically for that" - and they do... great, whats wrong with people?! I put this in a more POTD-oriented thread already, but since this technically was a Duty Finder run I feel it's worth repeating here too. I don't think I'll ever forget this *very* ill-fated POTD run.
>queue in to 41-50
>sees 3 DPS / 1 healer party, thinking "good, what a relief this will be after all of the 4 DPS nailbiter parties I've been getting"
>spawn next to a silver chest... BOOM, of course
>then four wandering manticores all enter the starting room at roughly the same time from different directions, and proceed to beat the healer down, quickly followed by the rest of us, in mere seconds. DUTY FAILED
The run lasted less than a minute and obviously zero progress was made, so I can't even be angry at this sort of thing. I was just staring at the screen gape-jawed for a while.
Yeah, I figured that much - I used to do quite a bit of PvP (when I had more free time) and always enjoyed that content. But with the small pool of people we've got here chance I will run into (excatly) those idiots again are kinda high - and that means for me: no PvP, at least not for a while. Which is so stupid! We've got people complaining about how there arent enough people for PvP etc. etc. and then some are doing there best to make PvP as unpleasent as possible for their own teammates -.-
PotD floor 41-50 last night. I went in as DRK and became floor tanking. XD Party consisted of MNK,BRD, ARC. Dps was fast but the amount of bomb traps and of course our old friends, roaming mobs appeared a lot so I died tanking them XD. We only got 1 silver chest.... And the rest of 5 silver chests were bomb! Not to mention every time a DPS opened the chest right after we kill mobs in the room, I died XD this run was the true definition of floor tanking !
How else do you swat flies down? ._. Those suckers gotta know who's boss!
Tis a shame good posters are being banned... especially when so many toxic ones are still around. I always enjoyed reading Selli and Ashkendor's posts. Hope both find their way back soon.
While hundreds of good posts don't offset one bad one, I hardly call her's a bad one... But I come from a forum where I've had to deal with angry people who even went so far as to change IP address's and create new accounts just to post insults... Soooo maybe my tolerance bar is just too high...
