Complaints Concerning the Yokai Watch Event

Regular players have been seen using bots to farm this event.

I just realized that Eastern La Noscea isn't a choice for medals, and that's where there will be 2 extra FATEs during the summer event will be. So they purposely planned to avoid that to ensure there isn't any ease to the grind with extra FATEs.

That's scummy as hell.

Its possible. But I think that was an coincidence. the Other locations not in the event are Northern Thanalan and the regions associated with Heavensward (I'm including Mor Dhona in this for both Mhach and the relationship to Dragons) Northern Thanalan and the Central Highlands were used for leveling FATE grind and don't need the extra help to look lively. Likewise Mor Dhona is in a similar boat being the 2.x endgame hub and still having some relevance to leveling 50+ crafters

I think the choice of excluding Eastern La Noscea is because people were using it to grind up the the point where they can then grind in Coerthas, so they likely thought they didn't need to make it appear more likely (plus it has a beach which might make it popular on Balmung for RP events)

Then again I suppose they might be banking on people using this same reasoning. Make it look like a coincidence, and its suddenly "okay".

Atmas weren't obtainable from North Than, East La Noscea, or South Shroud either (3 of the more common FATE grinding areas back in the day) so this is nothing new. It's just that there were 12 atmas back then, and 13 Yo-kais now, so South Shroud got added to the mix.

Um no. Just requires that you not be a lazy, instant gratification gamer with the attention span of a goldfish. I highly expect players such as yourself to not be happy until you are granted everything in game just for the special achievement of 'logging in'.

Amusing. No wonder this genre is on its deathbed. Event is hardly a challenge to complete at all and I'm in full time employment along side studying for a masters degree. So if I can do it, so can anyone.

Just requires a lack of laziness. Whoever mentioned instant gratification, was bang on point. Certainly no need to back track. Because thats exactly what this is. Want something? Put in work, or go without.Hardly difficult to understand.

It's not hard. I used my lvl 30-40 characters to do it (who are now 45 and 50) and enjoyed myself. Any time I wasn't enjoying myself, I tried another zone or just did something else. I wasn't in a particular rush, but I liked it so I kept doing it. Got my glowy mount this morning.

i don't think anybody was honestly saying it's hard. it's just that the event is very underwhelming and could have been a lot better than 99% of it being fate grinding and semi afk. its honestly not that good of an event is you spend most of your attention watching a video or something than actually particapi9gn in the event

The OP said it was too hard to wait for Legendary ones, and he wanted a drop every fate. Yawn. That would have been even more boring.

Honestly, it wouldn't have been so bad if the limit to the legendary medals was 15, but making the last three 30 medals is just... ugh.

how would that be more boring? if by doing the amount of fates you know you need vs doing 600+ fates, maybe more with RNG somehow makes it more appealing then I am probably not the target audience for this event. I am not defending the op and saying "its too hard" because it's not. I will., however, still say that the even is as lazy as you can make them. its quite literally just sticking the event into fates because we don't have enough of those. even if your right and one legendary medal per fates makes it more boring we still have the issue of the event being boring at all.

P.S: no I am saying i want t "instant gratification" the event could have been made twice as long and I would still do it. my point is the event is very lazily executed.
