Some annoying behaviors and perceptions

I've been leveling nin, and I'm hoping this doesn't mean I'm supposed to spam death blossom on a group of mobs at the expense of any other skill... it does a pitiful amount of damage and shares the same gcd so its not like the ninjutsu which can be thrown in between the steps of the primary dps chain...

Don't get me wrong, I use it and the two aoe jutsu on groups, but I've seen some Ninja just spam deathblossom and nothing else as though it doesnt matter what kind of damage it does, just as long as it hits everyone...

yeah, every aoe deals less damage than single target moves, you should use it if tank pulls a lot of enemies, since you can't run out of TP if you just use your normal single target combo against normal enemies or just dot every enemy,

Well you can do whatever you want but if there's more than 3 mobs then you're definitely doing less damages if you're not using death blossom.

it's simple math. On a pack of three mobs if you're attacking one mob with your mono target combo at level 60 it does something like this:
1100+1400+2100 = 4600

but with death blossom
(800x3)+(800x3)+(800x3) = 7200

You're already doing almost half the damage with only 3 mobs, if the tank pulled 6 mobs it raise this number to 14400 while you keep doing a 4600 damage combo instead...

Plus out of the 3 melee, nin is the one that don't starve as much for TP, can put a doton that will crit every dot with kassatsu and can use katon every 20 seconds giving the nin a really decent aoe dps for a melee.
