Probably because that butler set already came with a female-exclusive set, the housemaid set. See, each female exclusive-piece of gear, is countered with a male-exclusive or a unisex piece. The issue with Ageofwar's post is that he doesn't care about the female-locked gear, at least that's what I'm getting. It seems he prefers the designs and the way male-exclusive gear looks. And would rather keep it that way. Personally, I can agree, the wedding gear is the best example as to why gear should be gender-locked, however the Best Man gear exists to allow females to wear a 'suit' to their wedding if they so choose.Instead of enforcing more exclusion by saying no to the others person desired outfit why not say yes to it while at same time asking to get something currently female locked also unlocked for males? For example the bunny ears. Just seems very counter productive and spiteful to say no to hers when you seem to take issue with the exclusivity already in place, might be better to pull down the barriers instead of building more.
In the end, SE needs to decide if gear is going to be unisex or gender-exclusive. If it's the previous, unlock all female-locked gear to males regardless of how it looks. If it's the latter, they should perhaps start locking the 'unisex' Thavnairian set, as well as the many sets that were clearly created for males but are unisex. It's just sloppy, in my opinion.

♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥
Fran's outfit for sure I'd buy that in a heart beat.
Not only male, but other female body types that are not similiar to female Midlander and female Mi'qote. As a former female Roegadyn one of the things that I disliked on my character was how odd the outfits looked on my body. It was very obvious that this outfit was tailored with a slim body in mind.
I dont think I am the only player who thinks like that, because I remember a big discussion about this matter few months ago and alot of Roegadames came and told us, what they thought of the current tailoring.
PS: With Lightning's outfit, they should keep it like that for the males, its a little to feminine, but it works on the male body (slim ones, like Hyur Midlander and Miqote).
I have always wanted the sultana's outfit, if that has been said already, my apologies!
Oh yes, and her hairstyle please !
I also love that little thing Momodi has in her hairs *.*

People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
Never understood why people wants to PAY more for glamour when they're already paying a sub.
Mounts in the cash aren't enough ?
