NO NO NO No no
we got too many outfit that SHOULD be male locked and are unisex (aka not gender locked)
and half a ton of stuff that is female only locked (not that i care about the second point i have my ways around it)
Age of War
But there are quite a few male counterparts to the pieces as well. It felt actually a lot less common to find a female piece that didn't have a male piece neighboring it in either its event or the market board. But the biggest problem is, the most formal dress piece we have right now is visually outdated, even with DX11's changes. I can't ever look at anything like the male butler outfit, or the other more recent releases, and not realize just how chunky and misshapen the unisex tux is.
SE should have just made all the outfits uni-sex from the start, this would give every player the choice to pick their own outfits. If there was a female butler outfit (I like seeing females in butler outfit in anime), I do think there should be something for the males. But there are quite a few male counterparts to the pieces as well. Just make both outfits uni-sex and let the players enjoy it, Square Enix.
I'd be up for that. xDSE should have just made all the outfits uni-sex from the start, this would give every player the choice to pick their own outfits. If there was a female butler outfit (I like seeing females in butler outfit in anime), I do think there should be something for the males.

Instead of enforcing more exclusion by saying no to the others person desired outfit why not say yes to it while at same time asking to get something currently female locked also unlocked for males? For example the bunny ears. Just seems very counter productive and spiteful to say no to hers when you seem to take issue with the exclusivity already in place, might be better to pull down the barriers instead of building more.

Probably because that butler set already came with a female-exclusive set, the housemaid set. See, each female exclusive-piece of gear, is countered with a male-exclusive or a unisex piece. The issue with Ageofwar's post is that he doesn't care about the female-locked gear, at least that's what I'm getting. It seems he prefers the designs and the way male-exclusive gear looks. And would rather keep it that way. Personally, I can agree, the wedding gear is the best example as to why gear should be gender-locked, however the Best Man gear exists to allow females to wear a 'suit' to their wedding if they so choose.Instead of enforcing more exclusion by saying no to the others person desired outfit why not say yes to it while at same time asking to get something currently female locked also unlocked for males? In the end, SE needs to decide if gear is going to be unisex or gender-exclusive. If it's the previous, unlock all female-locked gear to males regardless of how it looks. If it's the latter, they should perhaps start locking the 'unisex' Thavnairian set, as well as the many sets that were clearly created for males but are unisex. It's just sloppy, in my opinion.
