What is the reason for only getting tomes with a capped job?

I'm looking at the leveling roulette, and I want to do it on a job that I'd like to level, but I also want to get the tomestones for the anima grind and some pieces of gear for a job I just got to 60. I don't really understand the reason why I have to choose between the two, and it partially defeats the purpose of a leveling roulette. :/

I think tomes are a substiutute for experience on capped characters.

That's exactly how it works. You get tomes as incentive to keep running the roulette after maxing your level.

It's annoying to want both, but that's why we have multible roulettes to use.

If you want tomes, you are better off running Research Facility (150 eso, 10 lore) or Antitower / LCoA hardmode (100 eso, 30 lore). The leveling roulette gives less tomes to discourage running it on jobs you are no longer leveling, because it's purpose is to boost the leveling process.

I think the only reason it gives tomes in the first place is to make it not completely worthless for someone capped running it with friends.

Actually same issue as OP stated exist also in the Palace of the Dead. When you go there on your 60 lvl job, you get lore, eso and poetics when finishing floors (and darn good amounts of it). If you go on 50+ you get only poetics.

As others have said, tomes are the only real incentive to run roulettes at max level. You have multiple roulettes to choose from though, so you can use some for leveling and some for tomes.

You do choose, you can do tomes with a 60 level player or experience if you run with less. If you're leveling you don't need tomes primarily. There are so many ways to level and get tomes that one can do both but not in roulette.
