FFXIV has no horizontal progression content, or for that matter, "midcore" content.

Everything is either a dumbed down insanely long and terribly designed grind (last example of this being PotD) or is "hardcore" content in the form of Savage content. The the patching goes like: "Hardcore patch, so the hardcore crowd doesn`t stop feeling like special snowflakes and they leave cause there is no content" and then "Casual patch, so we don`t scare the casuals with anything harder than repeteating dungeons or farming stuff while they watch anime".

If you are somewhere between these groups, being said, someone that can play between 2 to 6 hours a day, you either can`t "commit enough" for hardcore playing in most cases and the "casual content" is basically just endless torture.

Horizontal progression is needed. Something more aside extreme/savage or their alternatives, borefest endless and worthless grinds is needed.

But again, this game already served its purpose, probably SE isn`t supporting the dev team properly anymore, the game already paid for itself well, time to send that money to other stuff, probably XVII Online is already being funded by our subscriptions.

I don't agree with all you've said, but I "liked" it for the wording. Special snowflakes indeed! While watching anime, so accurate lol.

As for with what I disagree: I think SE is still putting massive effort into the game, it's just hard to see what goes on behind closed doors. More horizontals would be welcome, but it can't be as easy as throwing something together. Corporations have electric bills to. More support will bring more content. Help SE by buying that mount you saw on the mogstation and you'll help them with the next patch!
