About the EU campaign for maid outfit and fat chocobo

You're also forgetting 2014's FanFest in London, UK. It lasted only one day, whereas other FanFests were 2-3 days long. The event team were extremely creepy and touchy-feely with some people, including one of my friends who went with me to the event and not much was done about it. The queue for the merchandise store was so long that many people had to wait 2+ hours to buy anything because of the lack of staffing, only to find out the item they wanted was already sold out. People who wanted to see Naoki for a signature/photo were bringing too many items to him to sign, which meant that the queue took even longer, taking into account he was due to get a flight shortly after FanFest, many people were eventually turned away, causing those who paid for VIP tickets to not get the benefits they were promised. The amount of pcs available caused an issue with queues, also. The Odin fight was so busy that many people did not manage to get their tshirts, and staff at the event handin giving out tshirts gave tshirts away for free to people who begged, instead of those who actually completed the event, causing a further issue with stock, so some people had to walk away with a tshirt that was too big for them to wear. The catering for the event was so minimal that actual food people wanted to buy was already sold out due to only being stocked for maximum of 40 people, against a turnout of almost 2,000 people.

I could go on, but you get the idea. I won't even talk about the amount of tickets actually available in such a small venue.

Oh man that's disappointing. Youd think they'd work with another con/festival organizer in the uk - Like hyper japan or LAC to help make the best con with experienced people in that case.

Sadly, yeah, nothing was done on that front. But it's not EXACTLY SE that are terrible with PR. It's their EU PR team that have absolutely no clue how to deal with PR. In 2012, I went to the 25th Anniversary in London that occured before Distant Worlds, and we were promised things like pictures with Nobuo, and that didn't happen for some reason I can't quite remember since it's been a while, but the whole thing was just.. shoddy. They need to train them on doing this thing better. The main event was the music and also signing with Nobuo, and they wouldn't allow more than two, so people went around begging for others to get things signed, and the pens they provided Nobuo and Masashi with smudged all over everything which ruined the items.

I think the Merch sales at all 3 were pretty bad, at the Las Vegas one the line was almost 5 hours long and they cut it off even before the day was half done because the line was too long it was interfearing with things because only 1 till had a working debit/credit and only 2 tills total running. Much of the popular merchandise was sold out within the first few hours (the new soundtrack cd, the minion mug etc) and that was after limiting some stuff to 1 per customer. As far as 3 days I agree the EU one being 1 day was bad but the first day of the vegas one wasn't actually part of the festival they simply booked the pool area of the hotel to allow people to meet up there was no actual events for that evening so it was 2 days (still more but not quite as bad as triple). The NA one had some bad PC's during the odin event as the PC's they used barely met the requirements and at least as far as the odin ones went 2 pc's on my teams odin fight kept having their display's have issues due to graphic cards choking. As far as catering went the las vegas one had a cart vendor selling sandwiches outside the doors the first day (if they did the second day I didnt see them) and it was only prepared to do like 50 people total out of the 4000+ that were there. I really hope ALL the fanfests this year are better organized and prepared. I did talk to the person who arranged the venue last time as I recognized him from the FFXI fanfests and he did say that he had never organized something so large so perhaps that was part of the NA one not sure about the EU side if he did those as well, they did say this year they would be better prepared to handle things though but we shall see.

I've just gone out shopping today and found two copies of the magazine in ASDA. I didn't buy it because I only want the items in the last issue and I'm gonna wait if anything else is better. However, the magazine was really hidden for some reason. I only just saw the top of the magazine (which mentions the promotion), definitely not full face like the official console magazines/EDGE were.

Same for me. Found a copy today in the fourth place I checked. It was in WHSmith, they only had one copy and it was buried behind a stack of a different magazine instead of having its own shelf space. Now I just gotta catch the next two months.

i looked around for a copy of this magazine and checked several tesco's asdas and sainsburries as well as a W.H SMiths not a single copy of this book when i asked if they were sold out i was told and i quote "i'm sorry sir we do not have that magazine in stock" so i asked if they had stock "we do not supply this magazine." so my entire town doesn't have the GameMaster magazine and i am told they do not stock them at all.

personally i would of done Amazon uk since amazone is in most EU countries it would of been simpler, :/ but it looks like i cannot get the inferno mask the ONE THING i wanted from this event.

SE, I have money, you have the items I desire, what I don't have is a copy of a dying magazine my town doesn't stock. This isn't a real life relic quest! I shouldn't have to collect the Alexandrite of bad reviews to get my items! I shouldn't have to farm store after store in the hopes of finding the Atma of the Bullshit, only to be told I need two more!
