I can also state the magazine is trash. Full of rehashed and outdated news. E3 news in fact- covering games from e3 in very poor and little detail. Its a waste of a damn tree.

I couldn't find a physical copy of the magazine in Waitrose, Marks & Spencer or Tesco. Though by the sounds of it even if a store does stock it they only stocks a handful of issues which are liable to be snapped up very quickly. Which leaves ordering online the better option - but then it ended up selling out...twice. Furthermore even if someone is lucky enough to grab a magazine they need all three to be applicable for all of the rewards. Meanwhile Japanese and North American players had very little stress or inconvenience involved in their respective promotions.

I'm worried about their plans for Nordic countries because of the wording "Nordic territories". I hope they don't choose products or merchants that don't operate in all 5 countries and call it a day. An online store would probably be the best bet I think.

I'm more worried about the future promotions. After all, the actual promotion is so successful - I wonder how they're going to top that <3..........

Right but in fact we can consider it is true in the whole UE (and for the countries outside that are concerned since they are "UE account").
In France the problem is if they choose a magazine, the same problem as for UK will happen. And if they choose one or two retailers I guess as possible, in one there will be too many restrictions since it mainly sells games for consoles and really few accessories -then I will not be able to participate- and the second, is known -at least it is my experience- to put many restrictions about the qualified products (they most of time add some exclusions about accessories -aka games+consoles only, typically no memory cards, no pc accessories-) -then I expect I will not be able to participate too-.

To just add another voice to the chorus, what an absolute mess of a promotion this is - restricted to a magazine that is on a *very* limited print run and not even available in the part of the UK I live in (small towns, have checked the local Tesco/WHS Smith etc where it's "available" according to EU reps!).
The fact neither the Japanese promotion or NA promotion involved a limited supply of codes whereas the ""EU"" promotion *does* is completely ridiculous. If setting up something similar to the Amazon promotion (which I'm aware was abused somewhat with refunds) was impossible, simply making the items available on Mogstation would be much more palatable.
Given how fanfest EU has been treated (2016 fanfest, in 2017!), I'm entirely unsurprised by this but hopefully the chorus of extremely displeased EU players will at least be acknowledged with anything beyond "we see your criticism and choose to not respond to it".

Yes, me too. And even if the store is available in all countries, chances are it will still be unavailable to a lot of people due to the small size of many of our towns and cities, and the large distances between them. It's online or nothing for us, but I don't expect SE to know this about the "Nordic territories."
A lot of people are concerned about their own country's way of getting it, and I'm sure a lot of people ordered the magazine for that reason only (not to mention the longer wait). If SE had released all EU campaigns at the same time, perhaps the magazine would have had enough copies for the UK people and the ones without their own planned campaign, which I assume was the intention.
This seems very poorly planned and put together at the last minute. The first two issues are already unavailable, so if you had announced the campaign sooner people could have had time to get a subscription and not miss out. This is just unreasonable. Getting the issues one by one makes it three times as expensive as the NA campaign for me; why should non-NA players pay so much more? Making it a print-based magazine is a bad move since it makes the codes limited, which is already a problem after just a few days. Plus, it is not one that appeals to all players, so many of us have no use for it and feel uncomfortable sending our pictures to such a magazine. I cannot understand why you saw fit to pick such a small, unpopular thing as a base for this promo! In the US, at least people could get something they needed or could use. This is just something you trash, and to around three times the price, too. More if it turns out the only way is to hunt copies on Ebay.
I would recommend not supporting this campaign, but at the same time I am curious of what they're "planning" for other countries.
If it's just the same thing but with another magazine, then I'll most likely won't even bother.

So out of curiosity, I went and checked a few retailers for the magazine today. I found 3 copies in the entire town, so same amount as usual.
I'm not buying into this and I'm not gonna provide artificial life support for a dying magazine. This campaign is an absolute failure.
