Can we stop destroying the solo part of this game?

So apparently everyone ignored my post saying how easy it was to level gladiator from 1 to 12 yesterday.... Only skill from another class I ever used was second wind, and thats it. Had no problem with links out fighting groups of 3 enemies my level all the way up to 12......

Probably not... I've read a few replies where people said it wasn't hard to level. I guess you didn't b*tch and complain hard enough so no one heard it. Seems like the annoying whiny kids who can complain all day (instead of playing <- ironic?) get noticed more.

I think the problem is that people have these expectations that "I should be able to kill efficiently mobs 3-5 levels ahead of me with no problem... because!... I did it before!!"

New battle system, fight stuff your level or below or have a struggle. At 27 MRD I was killing things level 25 - 29 in Cassi Hollow with basically no break in between and only stopping to rebuff protect and stoneskin. I stopped my two times after sets of 10 to rest for 30-40 seconds and regen some mana, which typically happened if Steadfast kicked in right as another mob spawned on the mob I already had engaged.

Not trying to flamebait you but honestly, these boards have been full of posts since the patch, your seriously don't expect everyone to have read, and remembered, just your post do you?

As to you taking GLD up to 12 without problems, GLD and ARC, as I noted in my post, are different animals. GLD has the def and ARC has basically only att. Comparing the two is exactly the point, one class/job's leveling is way different than another's. At this low level, they should level the same and as mentioned at some later point the disparity can change/happen. Beginning levels should be just that, beginning, meaning easy. Hell most MMO's hand feed you for at least some levels.

I want the game built around party play and not solo play. Hands downs. Period. End of story. Its a multiplayer game. The indistry is packed with single player games for solo play.

Solo players should go play the single player games designed for solo play, and leave the multiplayer games to those who desire playing with other players.

Its a very simple and basic concept. You do not have to like it. Its a logical perspective, just because you claim its trollish to post such logic doesn't make it so.

You can want whatever you want but you are not the game develepor now are you ? end of story.
The game is based on party and solo so get over that already.
If you cut out the solo in this game you will lose about 65% of all traffic and servers will be empty :-)
I don't mind being in a party but i rather play and fight my battles alone thats the thing cold freedom of internet.
I don't have to do what you think people should do.

I like to solo so do lots and lots of MMO players.

I have been in the mmo business for 5 years now.
I run 2 dedicated servers so yes i know what multiplayer stands for.
An FPS is an MMO does that mean you have to team up ? nope you can play that alone too perfectly.
How is that as an end of story huh?

I never said anything about the game having to be single player lol the guy never really read any of my reply's i guess.
I enjoy talking to my LS members and helping em out if needed.
But besides that i will play the game alone while chatting with all of em
Thats what an MMO also is about. Doesn't mean you are prohibited to solo though.

I also like to solo, mostly because I don't want to have to be on everyone eles's timetable. I don't understand why there should be a limit on how much a character can level up. It would be awesome to be able to solo all of the quests.

well i like also to solo my friend but soon or after we must realize that is an MMO Massive Multiplayer online so if you want something to do solo then we have allot of single players games here is MMO

we are lucky that the main story you can complete it solo, so dont ask many things my friend ... believe me i love solo and single games but 1 year now i hated how mach solo mmo was ffxiv and thanks SE for the 1.19 patch its almost perfect how much party based starts to become it is ...

last night was the first time that a friend call me for help and also first time that i raise someone adventurer that i find dead in the game ...believe me it was the first time that i feel that the ffxiv is MMO

well really i love solo sometimes i cant play mmo because they are so group based ...but the real thing is that we are wrong me you ...group style players have only the mmo games rpgs or shooters to play ...we... you and me we have a lot of single games to play and enjoy our achievement my friend ...so when you really need to solo go and play Skyrim when you need to have a group come here ^.^

also to play solo its easier than to play with others ...if you are doing something alone everything is in your hand ...with others you need perfect synchronize - communication
