What that a Dev or something that said that? Or a in lore explanation? Are they actually related to demons or dragons? Or do we not know? And yes its clear they look like demons especially with red skin. Though its odd they have ear/horns which isn't common in demon mythology either. I don't know about FFXIV demons though.

How long does it take for it to update? or is there something specific to do? I used a fantasia to become a Xaela Au Ra but it still shows me as a Elezen on the forums. I'm played my toon since she's been a Au Ra.

Lore-wise, the scholars of Eorzea and beyond know that biologically, Au Ra are explicitly not the progeny of dragons. Not only do Au Ra lack many of the characteristics that all species of dragons are known to have, their characteristics that happen to resemble dragons serve vastly different purposes. It's probably safe to say that if Au Ra aren't half-voidsent/demon, they're probably Hydaelyn's version of oni of the "ogre" variety.
