New glamour for SMN egis, when? + feedback

I've been waiting for these new egis since 2.0 released lol

I heard they will be giving us new glamours in 3.35 or 3.40 update patch? which one?

    I really didn't like SMN in 2.0 but with 3.0 it's better & i'm glad it did!

just hope i see new egis very soon b/c i don't like these small ones at all~

    for DEV TEAM:

    * improve the movement animation for FFXIV in general, (falling~rolling on ground or turning left or right~etc) Dragon's Dogma is one of the best games in movement animation for example.

    * textures in some places are worse than ugly.

    * when i move my character i feel like moving a paper, very light it doesn't feel like you are moving a character's body at all, my opinion.

I do agree 100% with this:

The first set of pet glamours will be released in 3.4. This was confirmed in the last live letter IIRC. We have no information on which pets these glamours will extend to yet, or any details of how the system will actually work.

Didn't they say they would give SMN the ability to glamour Carbuncles first? I vaguely remember reading that.

I believe so, yes. Though we don't know if that's coming in 3.4 or not. I would hope we get at least one of Leviathan, Ramuh or Shiva as well.

I imagine the Carbuncles will be included in the first batch though as they would, in theory, be the easiest to implement (since they already exist for ACN). I know some SCHs are also hoping the system will let them switch back to Carbuncles too.

FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS - thats how EGIS should look like

Edit: My last hopes before i will give up on it is 4.0 when many job mechanics will change again...

My only hope for the Egi-Glamour system is that they don't limit it... I want a situation where I perhaps equip something in my offhand slot and that dictates which creature I summon, I don't want to talk to an NPC and switch to Carbuncle, or later down the line swap Garuda/Titan/Ifrit for Ramuh/Shiva/Leviathan, then you're still limited in what you have out based on which pet type you're using... I want a situation where I can easily switch to Ifrit-Egi, and now I have him out regardless of whether I'm using Summon/Summon II/Summon III, I would hope the amount of work that would go into such a system is why it's taking such a royally long time... We're meant to get Carbuncle in 3.4 and that should have been as easy as giving Carbuncle Summon III/Enkindle animations... Well, unless they also give Scholar the option as well, which I think they should, healer/support Carbuncles would be great and more true to the radioactive squirrels roots IMO... Hopefully they don't limit us to specific Carbuncles like we currently are too, make Summon/Summon II/Summon III dependent on an offhand item (basically the same way Paladin works) and start us out with a Carbuncle Ruby to equip there and let us dye it for various Carbuncle colours...

I'm almost certainly going to be disappointed by whatever they give us though... Summoner is already partly disappointing for being more Dragon-Mage at this point than Summoner (call me crazy, but I think the Jobs rotation should be based on its namesake - summoning, tossing out a pet once and focusing on DoTs/Aetherflow isn't very Summoner-y to me, though Dreadwyrm Trance was a marked improvement on what we had in 2.0 at least), and the current Glamour system for equipment is terrible IMO... That combined with the minimal effort they're putting into it (which I understand, kinda) and reluctance to give us any details on how they're specifically intending to implement it, leaves me with no real hope for this being particularly pleasing, at least for me individually... I'm sure some folks will find whatever they do fine, I'd just prefer an offhand item adding an almost minion-esque collectible aspect to Summoner, so you do Ravana for an item to equip offhand and now you summon Ravana-Egi... I've said this in many threads asking for details on the system and they've never sent a community rep our ways, so I'm left expecting the worst... The recent Anima quest NPC doesn't fill me with confidence either... Ulan seems like the perfect NPC to send us to in order to toggle Egi-Glamours, rather than a convenient system that can just let me switch Egi as easily as Paladin can theoretically switch shield...
