There is a few jobs I fear will not work too well in FFXIV due to the fact they cover multiple areas of the Trinity system like Blue and Red mage
Age of War

Thats a tough decision yeah, but Id like to think of how theyd play out over what role they are. For me,, and this is just my opinion but looking at bard mch, and practically all other dps, the support role is simply gonna be fleshed out as a dps role, at least for now, so would it work out? I think if a blm can get by with 4 or 5 spells when traditionally they had like 30, that its possible. This is my opinion though take it with a grain of salt, please

You don't have to put them into just one though. There's nothing stopping them giving some of these hybrid jobs multiple roles but restricting them to choosing one prior to entering any group content. Let RDM choose between DPS or healer for example, they pick one prior to queuing and are restricted to that role once they're in the instance. Problem solved. There are plenty of other MMOs that do exactly this.

The way the job/class system and DF works in FFXIV at the moment is that all jobs and classes are assigned to one of the following roles Tank, Healer or DPS NOT ALL OF THEM
So unless SE changes the job/class system and DF in 4.0 its either ONE or don't bother adding the job, NOT pick your own role (and by the way i don't see SE making such changes until at least 5.0)

the only one issue i have with multi role jobs even in the near future is button bloat really, but of course for complexity's sake the devs could give abilities alternate effects like warrior with equilibrium

How bout a new tank class that actually is a "tank" wher you deal little to know damge but you can absorb a crap ton of damage. i was thinking it could be a dual shield job like in cape westwind guy.

As much as I'd love a Performer class similar to the one in Bravely Default, I doubt it would fit much in a setting like this game. A Dancer also seems to be a highly requested class.
