It's so big it wasn't in any of those stores or local news agents in my city.Supermarkets, WHSmith and Newsagents. I saw copies in all of those.
If people wanted to do the promotion they would of made sure to either be ready at 10am for the sale of the magazine to go up on their website, or pop into a shop to grab a copy. It wasn't hard, and wasn't impossible to find. This is the BIGGEST multi-platform magazine in the UK, and is published by one of the biggest magazine publishers.
Also not everyone can lurk on a website at 10am...Some people have lives you know. Like looking after disabled family members or working.
The 1st issue is already sold out.
Now I wonder how SE intend to solve that problem for those who couldn't order it since it's not available on the online website.

More or less two days to sold out. As expected... not exactly, it is worse XD All the question is to know if they will organize a reprint or not.
I really hope they have planned something in other european countries that cannot sold out.
EDIT :
@worldofneil
Right, I've considered the day of the news one the Lodestone. My mistake.

Yeah offering codes via a limited print magazine when JP and NA had a literally unlimited number of codes to give away is ridiculous. I got an order in for the magazine this morning but there simply shouldn't have been any kind of effective limit on the distribution of these codes. It's a slap in the face when the other regions had no such limit.
Been to afew local shops none stock this mag looking forward to september issue... with the items people actually want..... good job at this event se.![]()

Even though I am not going to be buying the first two issues, I decided to take a look at the places near me. ASDA did not sell it but my Tescos did. It was certainly tempting but what ultimately tipped me to say no was how thin the issue was for the cost of £5 for what is essentially a rehash of what is available to read on the net. Not impressed by this magazine which was like "bulked out" by the cardboard it was enveloped in. I would rather spend that money on ImagineFX which gives me a lot more content for the price and is incredibly more useful than this.

I guess that answers my questions. No proper planing on either side to account for availability. GG SE.
Plenty of people have already said it but I just thought I'd add my voice into the mix.
This campaign is a real kick in the teeth and yeah, they may only be vanity items, but when we pay and play just as much, we should have an equal chance at the same items as other regions.
Regardless of how big this magazine is in its own field, it's pretty much irrelevant in every other way. And not everyone has the time or resources to travel to multiple stores on the off chance there is a single copy waiting for them. Heck, many people have said that before this campaign the stores they worked at barely had a handful in stock and I highly doubt they're going to get more just for these 3 months.
I'm hoping other countries have a much better deal which we can just hop on board or at least ask some kind overseas friends to help us out.
