Do you guys think it would be worth it to meld some PIE into slots of gear with already capped SS?
310 base Pie to get a 5. F4 sounds delicious. But will the one F4 which i may not be able to cast all the time be worth the loss of Crit?

I don't recommend going as high as 310, but to hit 284 with party buff is great. Basically using two melds.

Up to you. I run 350 pie for penta f4's and quad f2's.
You'll only get 2 waves of penta f4's though.
Without leylines.

Adding pie is totally up to you but you would need to meld so much of it to actually see a difference, no?
Myself i would rather not loose Crit over some pie, though i do love Pie, the edible one![]()
Ok so maybe this has been talked about in this thread but its way too big to sift through. Spell speed I'm stacking till it hits the roof, but when it comes to crit\det i'm feeling crit has hit a sort of ceiling where its not worth as much as det would be. My det is under 500 while crit is around 900. For my Relic I'm at the point where i have full SS and 60 crit. I'm really considering putting the other 60 into Det but i'd like a little feedback before I commit to it. What do all y ou think? split the 2nd half of the relic into Crit\Det or go balls deep into Crit?

Crit is much different than it used to be. It's not just Critcal Hit Rate anymore. It's rate + damage. So even while the actual percentage will always be based on rng, the damage dealt by critical a hits plays a big factor in weights. There is no ceiling for that. Go 120 SS and 120 Crit.Ok so maybe this has been talked about in this thread but its way too big to sift through. Also just to mention if you do want to experiment adding determination on your Relic, you could change that to crit later on.
But full spell speed + crit would be the best stats for Relic
oh really I didn't know that you could change it after putting the points in. I raid with a group that runs with a mch instead of a bard. So everyone gets buffs except me. I keep up with their dps but I'm never first anymore like I used to be. Pretty much why I've been trying to do things differently and get better results. MCH is stupid with the drg buff. I thought we were supposed to be the big bursters, but they out burst me. Sometimes by a lot lol
Just to test out a bit of a boost in det I replaced 5 crit V materia with det V and put on some det gear then went into A7S. Noticed a significant boost in damage. Actually managed to out dps both melee and came close to the mch before having to go in the jail and even then Caught up during bowling ball phase. Gonna put 60 into det on my relic since the current horde staff has some on it. If it's horrible I will change it to crit after the fact
