I will third all of the complaints also have a question what if your Australian but playing on a na server ?I need to second all of those complaints in this thread.
I think we've waited long enough for all those items but you guys just decided to make us wait even longer, pay more than NA and JP, fulfill ridiculously stupid tasks (sending a picture of ourselves to get the last item??) and make other countries in the EU (and AUS) wait even LONGER...
This is just not nice. And incredibly unfair.
Depends what type of account you have, not where you play. When you set up your account originally it would have asked you where you were located, if you chose somewhere in NA, you'd have an NA account, JP, JP account. If you choose nearly anywhere else in the world it makes you an EU account, which only makes this campaign even more insane when you think about it.
Didn't the gamecode key decided the region?Depends what type of account you have, not where you play. I don't know how it is with the ARR codes, but with the 1.0 codes the region is in the key (had to import the game from NA if you wanted a NA account).
Actually you're both right, sort of.
You can create a Square Enix account in any of the three regions and that's not actually related to the game you play.
But when you buy a copy of the game they define that as a "Service Account" which has to be added to a bigger Square Enix account (confusing naming eh?).
The region of both the main account AND the service account(s) have to match. You can have up to 8 service accounts for each SE account (so one login for them all), but again regions have to match for everything.
So ultimately it is possible to create a main account with the region of your choice, but if it doesn't match the region of the game you buy it won't let you add it to that account and you'd have to create a new SE account with a matching region or get a new copy of the game...
Confusing? Or maybe I just explained it really badly! Hope it made some sense!
