    There is another benefit to leveling other classes that I don't think anyone mentioned. (Sorry if I missed it.)

    By leveling other classes you can understand how they work and what skills they are using.

    In a dungeon you see a swirling puddle of sand on the ground? Is that something a monster used? Or a skill your teammate used? Is it safe to stand in? Or should you avoid it?

    By understand what skills other players are using and how they use them, you can work more effectively as a team.

    Very true by Fina. Learning what other classes abilities look like and do is a good benefit. Another "hidden" benefit is getting an understanding of what other classes/roles have to do to succeed and how you can help on your main job. For instance, a tank could learn things like not spinning enemies and denying melee their positionals, or grouping up enemies right for aoe by playing DPS and seeing how important it is to them. Or a DPS might learn to control hate better and drag enemies back to the pack after they peel off by playing tank for awhile.
